Good for normal TV but not so much for movies or music

I recently upgraded my living room TV to OLED and this soundbar is the perfect compliment for a more immersive viewing experience. Samsung builds quality products and this one is no different. Both the bar and woofer are heavy and well built. Luckily heavy does not mean bulky. The soundbar sits nicely in front of TV legs/ stands with no obstruction of the screen. The woofer tucks away nicely even on smaller entertainment stands/ shelves. This soundbar is easy to connect with the included HDMI cable or if your TV is WiFi or Bluetooth enabled, that’s another option. There is also a digital optical port, but a cable is not included. My TV has HDMI eARC and this is a game changer. One cable allows my TV and soundbar to sync perfectly and gives me control of soundbar volume using my TV remote. Of course sound quality is exceptional and should be at this price point. Speaking of price, I’ve seen this soundbar on sale multiple times so watch out for that! Whether you’re watching YouTube, Netflix, or a good old fashioned DVD/ BluRay, voices are crisp and clear and action makes the whole room rumble. This soundbar can get very loud (my poor neighbors) and I haven’t noticed any distortion even at high volume. I live in an apartment currently, but I feel like having this soundbar does allow me to be “future-proof” for when I purchase a house. It is wireless Dolby Atmos surround sound compatible, meaning rear speakers can be added easily for use in a bigger room or even a mini in-home theater. With lots of features, excellent sound quality, and the ability to add additional speakers to a system that often drops in price, what’s not to like?

Sounded great for about 2 weeks. Now nothing but connection issues. This is a new Samsung sound bar and a new Samsung Tv, there are no excuses for this

Do not buy!!! I have had this for about 3 months and it was fine until a week ago. Have connected 2 different Samsung qled tvs to it and constantly cuts out or instantly changes the volume level.

If you want very clear audio and don't like bass, get this. If you want any impactful sound in your atmos content, I would stay away from this. Very bass lacking. Like no bass. At. All.

literally could not plug in because it was bulit wrong or damaged in transit. the plugs just could not connect because the thing wasn't lined up. pathetic.

I actually returned this soundbar. I ended up getting the 5.12 channel that they had reccomended in the first place!

You can't beat the quality and bouce of the wall sound of the 3 Channel Samsung 3.1.2 Channel Soundbar w/ Wireless Subwoofer. I was blown away at easy set up and HDMI Arc hookup of Sound Bar and Subwoofer on Smart 4K TV. The handshake between my Smart 4K TV and Samsung 3D audio and surround sound was awesome. I recently purchased the Ultra Roku for my Smart 4K TV and I am getting the Dolby Atmas and DTS:X from my Samsung 3.1.2 Channel Soundbar w/Wireless Subwoofer. The best part is that you can control the Bass, Treble of the Sound Bar from your Samsung SmartPhone and boost the Subwoofer with its Advance Surround Sound featrue from the Smart Things App. The Samsung Soundbar Bluetooth connection from the remote gives you great Surround Space Fit Sound. All you need to do is connect, listen and enjoy.

Samsung do better....I see why this product was returned back to the store.

I was looking forward to testing this soundbar as it was from Samsung. This product replaced a Sonos soundbar that did not have a secondary speaker. I tested this product with and without the additional speaker system. I really find that just because a soundbar is louder and makes more noise, it does not make it a better sounding soundbar. What is perplexing is that the Samsung unit by itself was not better than the Sonos one that replaced it. Of course when I added the secondary speaker, the sound was much more emersive, but that should have happened anyway. I'm not sure that this makes the Samsung better than the Sonos one. When comparing apples ot apples, the Samsung doesn't sound as good by itself against the Sonos. OVERALL QUALITY I was expecting a high quality feeling and looking product and here the Samsung is clearly inferior to the Sonos. The exterior looks like cheap plastic and this is not enhanced by the odd digital display that appears behind the plastic looking grate. Had I not read the instructions, I would not have known there were external controls on the top of the Samsung unit. I would definitely say the Sonos looks better and doesn't look as cheap as this Samsung. OVERALL RECOMMENDATION I'd look for something other than this unit espcially at the price this commands. It is not dollar for dollar better than a Sonos bar. The marginal improvements in sound over the Sonos only comes from adding another speaker. Alone, the Samsung unit did not have a higher quality sound to my ears. I was very disappointed in the overall execution. The cheap looking exterior of this soundbar alone would be a buying decision against the unit if I had walked into a store and seen it prior to purchase.

Very impressed with the sound quality of the speaker. I have installed it in my basement for my home theater and it is a great fit to the home theater system. Installation is quite simple and pairing to Bluetooth is easy. I was able to connect to the audio system within 5 minutes. Bass quality on this speaker is amazing. Really impressive and a solid product from Samsung.

We use this speaker with our projector. I can say that it has a great quality that outdid our former surround sound system. The quality of sound is great, the volume level is astounding (If you like loud sound effects). It's very easy to set up with either a TV or projector.

Very nice & easy to use well worth the purchase price

This soundbar has been a great purchase. When received, the sound bar was well packaged. The soundbar and sub woofer both feel well-built. We paired this with a Q70 Samsung television, and we are connecting to it through eARC. The control of the soundbar has worked flawlessly. We used some action movies to test out the soundbar, and it provides an immersive experience that exceeds other soundbars we have used. The sound filled the room at well less than 50% volume. Even better, the sound bar does a great job of projecting dialog well enough that you can hear it without having to crank up the volume. The Adaptive sound mode has really resulted in a high-quality viewing/listening experience. We also have purchased the rear surround speakers (SWA-9500S). The setup of those surround speakers was fairly straight-forward. Although they do not provide as much sound as my wired sound system, they do a good job. Our dog has heard and been confused by the sound coming from them on multiple occasions. We would definitely recommend this soundbar to anyone who wants a high-quality sound without the complexities, costs, and setup of a full wired sound system.

The initial setup was rough. They didn't provide the necessary hardware to mount to the wall, I had to find screws and anchors that fit the bracket, which wasn't easy. That was a little headache. We always used Optical Cable to get the sound out, but the manual says the HDMI ARC gives the best sound, so we compared. Quite the difference! We were blown away by the initial sound this thing gave out, bringing sports, movies, and video games a more quality experience. The subwoofer packs a punch for something so small!

I had this soundbar hooked up to a samung q7 tv for about 3 weeks now. sound quality is very nice when hooked up via bluetooth. both high and low sound enhanced. but for some reason when connected to bt, bass will not adjust. q symphony only works when resetting the tv and soundbar connection. it will not stay connected more than 3 days. when it's connected, the sound is very nice. q symphony connection seems to be an on going problem with samsung. samsung needs to find a solution for this.

Samsung has gone above and beyond with this sound. We have always bought another brand because of the quality but hands down this is better! Set up was just plug in and go! Set up took less than 2 minutes. We connected it with the digital optical cable. We haven’t used it for anything else except the tv, although we have the option of using it as a blu tooth or WiFi speaker as well. The woofer brings all the bass you need to feel the sound. It feels like a movie theatre in the small package of a soundbar. One more reason we love being part of the Samsung family!

Overall, the sound quality is pretty good, depending on what you are listening to. Connected to a Samsung smart TV with spotify and Netflix, the audio was great. With Amazon video, some audio sounds like someone is talking inside a box. Mostly with narrations and commercials. I wish it had more options for equalization. I would look for open box model, as full priced it's a little too expensive.

I was looking at Bose 300 system and the 500 subwoofer because I am a Vinyl listener you need a good system that can give you theater sound and record player sound with clarity and quality especially funk, R&B, Jazz and the Samsung give me the full sound and the Bass. Then even better I have a Samsung TV so the Q-symphony is superb. If you are not ready to drop a $1500 on Bose this system comes really close. And got it on sale. Try is you will love it.
