Sound quality is great, gets loud enough for a medium sized room. Haven't tested the Atmos specifically but I am thoroughly happy with this soundbar. Though tempted to get the supplemental rear speakers, it sounds great enough as it. As of now, I have yet to get the volume up to 50% as its loud enough to hear outside before that.

Had to take it back because every 5 mins the volume would skyrocket to 25. Thing has a mind of its own. Bad thing is I googled it and it’s a common problem and Samsung is doing nothing about it. Really did love the sound it produced though. It sounds amazing. Took it back and got a Jbl 5.1

All the features that it came with greatly enhanced my television experience. My favorite feature about it is the Bluetooth experience because I can now include my phone to watch and play things with. The speaker is almost the width of my television, and because it's so long it provides the room with top class crisp surround sound. The subwoofer along with that makes the bass of the sounds very powerful and it really resonates through the room. I will recommend this for anybody looking for audio speaker

Great Soundbar with Clear Dialogue

I bought this soundbar for my husband for Christmas to pair with the Samsung Q80A 75-inch TV that I surprised him with last year. While we loved this soundbar and the clarity of the dialogue in movies and shows, he wanted the surround sound. We did purchase the side speakers (SWA 9500s) to pair with that soundbar but unfortunately, we do not have a spot to put the speakers because we have an open floor plan with a kitchenette behind the couch and we didn't want to place the speakers on stands. We upgraded to the JBL Bar 9.1 My preference would have been to keep the Samsung just because the dialogue was so clear while watching movies but we would have to give up on the superior surround sound of the JBL. Plus, I'm a Samsung junkie and it bothers me not to have all electronics the same brand. If you have space to put the Samsung side speakers when adding to this soundbar, I would recommend the Samsung. We went with the JBL due to the convenience factor and the detachable side speakers for the Dolby Atmos benefit.

The sound is crisp with the option of deep bass. The Smarthings app provides more audio control options. Can connect via HDMI or TV ARC. Easy installation. Black Friday deal made this purchase steal. Would have been highly satisfied if paid full price.

The addition of the soundbar and subwoofer to any tv experience is incredible, but these are downright sick! Action scenes and voice clarity makes this a must buy! Pair it with the wireless rear speakers, and it just takes it to another level!

I just bought an 8k 75 inch Samsung and this sound bar synched easily. On settings, when comparing the tv sound to the Soundbar sound, the difference was mind blowing. I would highly recommend this sound bar, especially for someone with a Samsung television.

It shakes the house, yet is crystal clear when it comes to vocals. It is very well balanced. The dolby atmos works too good. At one point I thought there was a fly buzzing around my room, turns out it was a scene in the movie!

Was trying to get woofer to connect to sound bar. I follow direction on paper that came with unit, but they left some steps out. Went to You Tube watch video then it was easy. Great sound!

It sounds great as if you are in the movie theater just by watching nextflix, HBO Max, or Amazon Prime movies. The downside is that, it’s hard to connect Alexa to work with it. I had a smaller one that didn’t really work well with the bigger TV. This sounds great. The floor shakes when we are watching movies. I would definitely recommend it.

I have a sony Tv paired with the soundbar...The sound quality was way below par. The HDMI supplied did not work with my TV so I had to buy expensive optical cable.

Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q700A Soundbar. We value your feedback regarding the sound performance of your soundbar. You can try manually optimizing your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear) to access the setting items such as TREBLE, BASS, SYNC, CENTER LEVEL, TOP LEVEL, and VIRTUAL ON/OFF. The selected item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
– To control the volume of the treble or bass sound, select TREBLE or BASS in Sound Settings, and then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
– Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.)
– To control the volume of each speaker, select CENTER LEVEL or TOP LEVEL in Sound Settings, and then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
– The VIRTUAL Speaker function can be turned ON/OFF by using the Up/Down buttons.

The looks of this unit are really nice and premium looking. Plenty of bass and no distortion at high volume. I can hear and feel the sounds and bass on my second floor (soundbar is on first floor) when I want to :D The surround sound really does work as described...for example I can hear sounds left of the camera bounce off the left wall in my living room. Q Symphony technology that uses the TV speakers in conjunction with the soundbar works great. Wish Alexa was better integrated, but Alexa does recognize and sends sound to the soundbar when you specifically tell it to...just too bad I can't put it in my living room group though.
