I have to set it to 50% for watching a regular tv show...max for movies, and I still feel the sound isn't what it should be then. I've got it sent into the manufacturer for the 2nd time to try to resolve. I'm VERY disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your experience of the HW-R650 Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the level of sound output.
It has come to our attention that some customers are positioning the soundbar incorrectly, resulting in low volume and sound quality. The soundbar should be placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on Samsung.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when you sit), you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

Samsung soundbar not great

I wouldn’t buy any Samsung products

8 months in and the display stopped working.

The sound is passable, but overall I wish I'd spent more on a better system.

Would not recommend

When hooked up as bluetooth connection is frequently lost. I then went to HDMI and it worked great for a couple weeks. Now I have no sound at all. Will be returning.

Didn't work for my tv

I think you have to have a Samsung tv for this soundbar to work right. So I had to return it, I wished it would have worked with my tv.

If you like some bass, don't buy this!

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q60 Soundbar. I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize the potential of the included wireless subwoofer.
First is to increase the WOOFER level from the included remote control.
Second is to adjust the bass control: Press the Sound Control button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level.
Finally, for precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
I hope these tips help to solve your issue.

No Bass

Please check that your soundbar is positioned with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. We have found that some customers are incorrectly positioning the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when you sit), resulting in poor connection, remote signal being blocked, and audio quality sounding muffled. Refer to product photos on Samsung.com and zoom in on the photos.
