This is a good sounding bar that attaches to the TV easily with or without cables.

Great system. Got this for a teenagers room and she lived it!

got a little lengthy.. tl;dr at the bottom. Background: So i bought a Curved Samsung TV in 2015 and bought the curved (5.1 channel?) soundbar to go with it. Both products were amazing. Not a big audiophile and never owned a soundbar before that, but that thing made me a believer. The old soundbar had the Smart Connect feature which easily paired with the TV, one less wire, one less remote, things were great. Cut to almost 3 years later and the soundbar started crapping out. No clue why but it decided to take early retirement. I went to my local BB and told the guy what happened and said i wanted a mid-range soundbar from Samsung (despite the old one not really going the distance) because of the Smart Connect feature. He recommends this thing to me and i just take it and go. New Soundbar: Installation was easy enough but as I'm cycling thru the sources on the soundbar, i realize that there's no "TV" source option. I went to the manual and low and behold, the instructions state that the soundbar is only designed to be compatible with 2017 Samsung TV's and above. I mean I can still hook it up with D-IN Optical/HDMI/USB or whatever. But back in 2015 I didn't need a single wire besides the AC power to connect a Samsung TV with a Samsung Soundbar. So why, in the year of our lord two-thousand and eighteen, am I now relegated to setting this thing up like a pilgrim? Did the money grabbers purposely make these things not backwards compatible? But whatever, I'm in a pinch so I finish setting the thing up and try to roll with the punches on this one. To my utter dismay, the speakers are horrible. Granted this is a 3.1 channel so I didn't exactly go all-out here... But this became a clear 'return' when my girlfriend didn't even think the soundbar was on because it sounded the exact same as the tv itself (it was in fact connected btw, haha). tl;dr: Not backwards compatible for pre-2017 samsung tv's with the "Smart Connect" feature so it needs to be hard wired and you'll need to keep the remote handy at all times. The sound is not good and had no discernible difference from my regular 2015 Samsung TV speakers. Returning today. Maybe going with an LG

This soundbar has superb sound! The subwoofer really gives it that extra umph it needs.

Sound it was not crisp. The sub woofer was weak. Exchanged for another brand which sounded Better for much less money. The remote worked well and was easy to see and operate.

This unit has so much crisp sound. The subwoofer puts out top performance as well.

we moved and downsized. This soundbar system rivals the 5.1 sytem I used to have.

It works alright but a little disappointed with the subwoofer. Not much sound comes out not like my panasonic surround sound system.

These speakers go great with a big tv and gives theater quality sound

since I have a receiver and surround sound for another system these speaker didn't compare. I bought this speaker for the space it took up but love sounds from other system so I upgraded for another receiver and separated speakers
