Please know that the HW-M550 has a dedicated Subwoofer level control on your remote.
The button is labeled “WOOFER”, and is located to the right of the Volume button.
Push the button up or down to adjust the volume of the subwoofer to -12, or -6 to +6.
Pressing the button will revert the subwoofer volume to level 0.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless Rear Loud Speakers. I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with its volume.
Here are a few settings you can change to adjust the sound effect to your preference:
1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE.
3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control.
If the volume is still an issue after adjustment, please give us the opportunity to assist you by contacting Samsung Customer Support via one of the following options:

Problem with Sound Volume Not Working

I was very disappointed with this TV as the sound volume stopped working after the first day on both the TV and sound bar and then in spite of all my efforts--following the manual guidelines, etc. it started working again and then stopped again after another 2 days. I don't know if the Tv or the sound bar was the problem since I returned the TV because it was lacking a very vital feature for me--that of an Awake Timer.

ok but not dynamic
