Thank you for purchasing this Samsung HW-M550 Soundbar System.
I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its sub-woofer sound performance.
As the subwoofer is designed to pick up and amplify the low frequency sounds (from the right/left speakers), for example, the rumbles of an explosion, you won’t always hear it working.
To test if the sub-woofer is working properly, we recommend you play a blu-ray or UHD DVD movie with plenty of explosions, and place your hand on the subwoofer. You should feel vibrations as the unit receives and transmits the incoming audio from the content.
Another good test is to play music content with deep bass via Bluetooth connection, as it is not dependent on “effects” decoding.

So we needed something that could fill the room and project sound. This definitely did the trick. We love the different settings for music, movie or just watching tv. We would definitely suggest this product to others and we have.

This bar has a center speaker, making a clear voice output. Many will complain that this bar lacks some bass juice, but those need to spend a bit more to get what they want to get. This bar is great for a bedroom and goes well with the rear system.

It is a great addition to any tv. There are times that you can hear and feel the subwoofer but most times I don't notice it. All in all I would buy it again.

We thought it would be better, but it actually did not work well because of the connection with our Direct TV. We changed the connections and the sound is amazing!
