    I got this as an open item and saved quite a bit. In the store, up close the 3.1 really makes a difference over 2.1 but in my living room it's not as noticeable.

    The system sounded better at the store. voices not as clear as I expected. The optional rear speakers did not get noticed on my layout. I returned the system.

    I did not think this sounded great, just ok. The bass from the sub-woofer was also minimal. I returned it.

      A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

    I cannot comment on the sound quality - I didn't get far enough into the purchase to test it. This system does not have a way to mount it directly to the TV - it is meant to mount directly to the wall. While this may be alright for some, I have an articulating TV mount and wanted the ability to aim the soundbar where ever the screen was facing. Not impressed, as most sound bars these days have very modular set-ups.

    Subwoofer is not as dominant as it should be. The tiny rear speakers are OK but don't make the difference that I thought it should.

    The sound bar was a decent item. In an open high ceiling room it's not the best, but does the job overall I recommend it.

    Product support is non-existant. Does not operate between interfaces (you have to select either the cable box or the apple tv or the dvr) You cannot use on multiple items without special order additional purchases which NOBODY seems to know how to configure. Item sitys here unused and annoys me to no end.

(Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) It is not uncommon that customers instead are placing the bar with the logo facing them (instead of up), which results in the display being face-down on the table and the sensor for the remote being covered.
