Sounded better in store

A possible cause may be that the Soundbar is not placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

Sound bar excellent. Subwoofer poor

Better than surround sound

A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel, which will indicate the unit is on. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) It is not uncommon that customers instead are placing the bar with the logo facing them (instead of up), which results in the display being face-down on the table, hidden from sight and thus not showing that the unit is on.

OK if you don't like bass

The Subwoofer puts out very little sound even had geek squad come back an check it out. Geek tech told me if you want real subwoofer sound I would have to buy another brand like a Bose. Am going back to store an try to purchase another sound bar system that works!

There is very little separation, the dynamic range is too compressed, and the bass is only vaguely present. It sounds better than the TV, but how much does that say about the sound quality? I know there aremuch better solutions out there.
