Sound quality is very poor

Very disappointed.In fact, the sound sounds like the lesser of the three speakers..It appears that you only want my review, but you are not going to followup on my case.

A possible cause may be that the Soundbar is not placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

Poor Quality

Over the past 6 months I have had issues with the subwoofer connecting up with the sound bar and now my subwoofer does not power up. May be it is a one off, but I noticed that Samsung has replaced that system with a new version and a new subwoofer design.

Dissapointing sound quality

The addition of rear speakers to this system does not enhance the viewing experience from the superior quality of the Samsung television. Overall my recommendation is to spend the extra money for a higher quality soundbar, I didn't and am stuck with inferior sound quality.

If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. not good

I returned the item to the store and got my money back

I Do Not recommend!

The backing on the remote where you change out the watch battery has to be opened with a butter knife or a quarter. The back of remote almost gets stripped trying to open it the first time. Will be diff to change the battery a second time for sure.

Average sounding sound

After many hours fiddling with this sound bar, I could not achieve this . Lows were very lacking. Not worth anything over $100. I will stick to my 5 year old Sony Sound Bar.

If you are referring to the optical cord not fitting properly, please know that there is a small protection cap on the connector end that needs to be removed. Once that small cap is removed, the cable will fit securely.

Cable to use to attach to tv did not work. Already had a cable, so I used mine. Overall not worth the money. Either go cheap and save money or invest more and get a better sound system.

Garbage

Soundbar dead.

lip sync is now out of whack

Use the "Sound Control" button on the remote control and select AUDIO SYNC. Use the < and > arrow buttons to set the audio delay between 0ms and 300ms.

First Review! Best option out there
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After trying other options, I waited for the Samsung HW-K550 to arrive and bought it tonight. Very happy with the results! The K550 replaces the J550 and is a major upgrade. The K550 is 3.1 with six speakers whereas the J550 was 2.1. Definitely worth the extra cash. The sound is more powerful and fills the room more completely. For more money you can get the K650, but I didn't think it was worth it. Both the K550 and K650 can be synced with wireless rear speakers for better surround sound. The difference is that only the K650 works with Radiant360. First of all, I doubt I'll ever get any rear speakers. Second, I don't think I need the functionality of the Radiant360 for rear speakers. If I ever get rear speakers -- which are somewhat extraneous with a soundbar -- then I'll just get regular Samsung or other speakers that go with the K550. I like the Samsung product over Bose because it syncs easily with my Samsung 4K 65" TV with AnyNet+. This is super easy to setup without any wires. No delays between the sound and video. The subwoofer is also wireless and connected automatically to the soundbar (unlike the J550 which the user needs to sync manually). The Bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone or iPad is terrific and a must-have in 2016. The profile is slim and long. Looks great under our 65" Samsung 4K TV. I did not use the mounting brackets, but rather just set on the fireplace mantle under the TV. Thanks, Samsung, for making a much better product this year!
