After struggling with having to run speaker wire for my 5.1 home theatere in a box, I was shown this amazing device. It sounds much better than the 5.1 system did and without having to run a single wire. The Wireless Sub connects automatically and isn't too overwhelming.

Was going to buy a cheaper brand and model. But found this one to be amazing due to its center speaker and clarity not to mention it is way louder then any of the ones you will spend less on. Don't be cheap and get a 2.1 design. Buy the 3.1 Samsung, plus it has the option to add wireless rear speakers

Desired nice soundbar system to complement new Samsung 8 series SUHD 60" TV. With early online Black Friday pricing, I ordered even lower priced open box Samsung 3.1 340w soundbar/wireless subwoofer system, and open box Samsung160w wireless sattelite speakers (transforms 3.1 soundbar system to 5.1 Digital Dolby) for local store pick up. Good clarity, good bass punch during action scenes and music. Overall very good (partially wireless) system with reduced wiring and easy setup. Only temporary problem was that, using optical connection, sound was not controlled by tv remote. Had to call in grown son to properly set up hdmi ARC (Audio Return Channel) settings on all connected equipment. Then connected hdmi cable from soundbar to tv hdmi ARC port. Then set soundbar sound control setting to TV ARC. ARC is newest way to connect/control compatable (2014 or newer) equipment with single remote. This enabled my tv and cablebox remote to control soundbar volume and power both. Samsung tv, Samsung 340wsoundbar with wireless subwoofer, and Samsung 160w wireless satellite speakers now all working together without issue, turned up, down, on, or off with TV or Cable box remote. Wonderful to only need one remote for entire home theater system. Read up on ARC, it's that new.

I received this yesterday and opened it immediately. It was super easy to install just make sure you take the small plastic covering off of the optical cable before inserting it. I didn't notice it and it took me a while before i figured it out. The sound is amazing for the price definitely spend a few extra $$ and get this one instead of a 2.1 well worth it.

First off, if you are using your television's internal speakers you really owe it to yourself to at least try a sound bar. Even a lower end model. Spend the $79. You'll never go back. That said, this model is higher end (and more expensive, of course) but absolutely a PERFECT fit. My understanding is that you need at least the 3.1 to have the dedicated voice channel. Makes a huge difference. (Thank you Best Buy sales staff.) Clear dialog was my # 1 issue going in. But I also wanted bluetooth to connect with my Echo Dot/Spotify setup. Works so great together. Makes it easy and fun. I wanted to be able to crank it up a bit without distortion. Mission accomplished. The look is great. The setup was simple. And it was on sale. Zero regrets with this purchase. And to be clear, movie dialog is much, much better. The Samsung 3.1 soundbar with my new 55" Samsung smart tv is like being in the cinema. Kudos to Best Buy for their no hassle return policy and helpful staff. I've bought a lot of stuff this season, returned some and swapped some after further study. That policy really let me figure things out and get what I wanted.

I tried a few different sound bars out and this sounded extremely well for the price. I had to resynchronize the sub and rear speakers twice but has been fine ever since. It's a well balanced system . Arc connection sounds the best.. It sounds great with movies and music. The one complaint is the subwoofer output.Even maxed at +6 I wish it put out more overall low-end for movies . Music it's better at achieving that but for the price it's fine. I actually just got a second subwoofer I'm going to sync up so I'll have one in front next to my TV and the other behind my couch . I'm sure that will help. I've read some complain of the rear speakers being not loud ?. Have they adjusted there level through the sound bar? I had to turn them down once I hooked the sound bar up through arc. I think there a must have with this system. I got the sound bar for 329.00 and $30 off the rear speakers so for $59 it was a no brainier . Probably the best setup for under $425.. Once I add the second subwoofer it will be a superb setup for $450!. Overall well balanced easy to install setup. I would give 5 stars if the subwoofer put out more low-end..

As a mid-level soundbar, I expected much more. The sound quality was not much different from my TV and could barely tell the difference when switching between TV speakers and the soundbar. There was not much bass from the subwoofer, despite cranking it up high. I also had some Bluetooth connectivity issues and sound would break in an out when playing music from my phone. Having set it up in a large living room with high ceilings, the soundbar had a hard time filling the room. It's unfortunate, since I already have a Samsung soundbar (HW-J470/ZA, no longer in production) that sounds amazing. I was hoping for something similar with the HW-K550/ZA model, but the sound quality definitely was not what I expected.

We were disappointed in the sound quality of our new Samsung UHD 4K TV. After adding the Samsung 3.1 sound bar we are experiencing amazing sound quality. A major improvement!

Wanted to upgrade an older Samsung soundbar. Had really high hopes for this unit. Sound was definitely superior and could get loud. The sound modes were just so so, however the night setting did amp up talking which wsa a problem with my old model. My biggest gripe is with the bluetooth range. I have a wide open floor plan, yet outside of 10 feet the signal began dropping. Thought it was maybe a bad unit and got a replacement. Same problem. For as much as this unit costs, I'd expect the range to at least be the same. My old unit could work in the other room. Extremely disappointed as I wanted this to be my new theater toy.

I was extremely amazed on the sound quality. Pretty loud and worth every dime. I basically get a movie theater experience within my home. In addition I like the fact I can pair my iPhone with it and listen to music this is also terrific for parties.

While I'm used to listening/watching on a >50k system my wife wanted something for the bedroom and insisted I spend the least amount possible. Mission accomplished! Got a cheap but quality TV and this soundbar...both on sale. Never would've looked in this price bracket for anything audio/video wise, but I have to admit there are decent performing components for those on a budget. My only real complaint is that the sounder can be localized if you concentrate at all and the sub is crossed over too high, though this is a small complaint as you get used to the soundstage after a while. I've never listened to sounders in any serious way before, but for 189.00 I consider this an excellent deal and works great (given it's limitations) for an inexpensive bedroom system. Can control volume, channel and on/off with a single remote using HDMI which is a bonus. Highly recommended!

I had a sony soundbar which was amazing, but last black friday 2016 i bought this samsung soundbar system with subwoofers and theres no turnback around. quality and sound affinity is off the charts, i love it.

Sounds great and worth the money. Was going to purchase the blue tooth speakers to go with the sound bar and subwoofer. The set came as a bundle so the background speakers were free.

This looks great with all 60" HDTV. It wasn't complicated to setup. The sound quality is great and well worth the price.

I recently bought this open box in the store for around $220 after tax, so I may have given this a 4 star review if not for that. The subwoofer on this unit is good for a decent sound, but do not expect to hear music with deep bass without it bottoming out a bit. The unit connected and instructions were clear. I use a digital output from my samsung television and by switching the source to digital, it worked flawlessly with music and movies/tv streamed into my chromecast plugged into my tv. Glad i went into the store and found a near flawless open box for a good price.

Great system at a reasonable price. The subwoofer is slim and lightweight, making it easy to stow away behind a couch and create a real surround sound effect.

Picked this up for college football season to add a little boost to my 4HD Samsung. This will be all I and my buddies will need! Clear sound and nice bass.

I got a new Samsung HD TV so figured I'd get a really good sound bar to go with it. The nice thing about the Samsung soundbar here is that it can be wireless with a Samsung TV. It's a nice touch if the TV is mounted on a wall. My tv is on a nice tv stand, so wireless is not necessary. It was very easy to set up. It's a good value point here, where it's not too expensive sound bar. The sound is good. But the subwoofer leaves a lot to be desired. It looks great, but most of the time I can barely even hear the base. One nice thing I like about the sound bar is the blue tooth connectivity I can easily connect my iphone to and play music. I would consider getting again.

This is a great soundbar for the money. Also you can add the rear wireless speakers to complete the setup

Love the sound quality on this with our Samsung TV. Definitely the best at this price range.
