We have this speaker bar paired with our new Samsung Series 8 TV. It sounds amazing and it syncs nicely to our setup. It was super easy to mount to the wall and came with a simple template.

I've had this for about a month-and-a-half now when it's okay at best. I brought this thinking that I was going to replace my surround sound that I bought 7 years ago but that sounds way better still so I just put this in my bedroom.

Excellent sound Fills up the room great. I gotta keep it at 10 because I live in an apartment. But when I brought it over to a friend's house, I cranked it all the way up, and it filled the whole basement, three times the size of my living room

I bought this soundbar for my secondary Sony 900 tv. It performs well but it doesn’t turn on automatically when I turn on the tv. I have to manually turn it on, but that is a minor inconvenience.

Sound bar was a great add on purchase for our television. Recently, we purchased a vacation home and got 3 televisions and 3 sound bars. Had all equipment installed by Best Buy which was awesome and did not take very long.

Sound bar works very well. Was told there is a part of the speaker that is just for voices. We can not tell a difference. Woofer is too much for our small room. Works well, but we don’t use it anymore.

This sound bar system has incredible sound for the money. It is crisp and loud! So much so I am accused of being hard of hearing.. lol. Package deal with a Samsung tv makes it a very attractive package. Love Samsung quality

I upgraded to this Samsung sound system, from a lesser Samsung sound system. Both sound bars are ok. This new sound bar has a 3.1 speaker setup, to enhance the talking sounds. I don't hear much improvement.

The sound quality is not what I expected nor was it as good as previous Samsung soundbars I have purchased. I have a Samsung tv but that didn’t seem to add anything easier or anything. I used the optical hookup and the Bluetooth and the HDMI and could not get a nice level sound. Talking in movies you have to turn it up then if an action scene starts it gets super loud. Plus it would turn off baby itself periodically.

Not a bad sound bar for basic tv watching. If you’re looking for theater quality, this is not the sound bar for you. Great audio for normal tv watching and sporting events, especially football.

Good sound quality including bass. Speech though can be temperamental: sometimes it is clear other times it is drowned out by background sound.

      AnotherBestBuyer:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T650 Soundbar. Your soundbar is designed with a dedicated center channel speaker for crystal-clear dialogue. Connecting your soundbar via HDMI will give you the best audio. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar using HDMI: either by connecting a device to your soundbar, or by using ARC (Audio Return Channel).

To connect your soundbar and a device using HDMI:
      1) Make sure the TV, soundbar, and device are turned off. Then, connect one end of an HDMI cable into any HDMI port on your TV (make a note of which one). Next, connect the other end to the HDMI OUT port on your soundbar.
      2) Connect a second HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on your cable box or video game system to the HDMI IN port on your soundbar.
      3) Turn your device on. Then, turn the soundbar on and press Source or Function to change the soundbar to HDMI.
      4) Turn the TV on and press Source or Function to change the TV to the HDMI port that you connected the soundbar to in Step 1.
      5) You will see a picture from the device on your TV, and hear audio from the soundbar.

To connect your soundbar with HDMI ARC:
      1) Power on your TV and soundbar
      2) Connect one end of an HDMI cable into the HDMI IN (ARC) port on your TV. Connect the other end into the HDMI OUT (TV-ARC) port on your soundbar
      3) Change the source on your soundbar to the D.IN. setting. After a few seconds, "TV ARC" will appear on the soundbar's display, and the TV will transfer audio through the soundbar.

I hope this tip helps improve your audio. Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support at:

It sounds great but we are having trouble syncing the voice with the mouth movement when it is a live show. It is only a problem with live shows and everything else syncs fine.

The DTS:X setting creates an amazing "virtual" surround effect. The sub sounds great. Settings on the remote are a bit difficult to navigate, but once you get the hang of it, there's no problem.

Great sound, power base plus 340 watts of power. The only thing I don’t like is that there is not light to indicate when the system is on. A little weird, but overall is a great system

I updated my Samsung 4k to a 2020 model and decided to change our my old soundbar with this one. The only reason I got this model was because it was cheaper than the T60 model by $100 at the time. But if I could go back. I would have gotten that model instead. The sound quality is better than the TV speakers but as good as my old soundbar. The general problem with this soundbar is the subwoofer is everywhere. And the dialog is high or low and it's really upsetting that something really loud in the background will go off and will need to turn down the volume but then turn up again because the dialog is too low to hear. Not sure it's because the sound is designed for 5.1 and this is a 2.1. Still trying to fix this issue but with what you get should be $100 less and it's a model that I don't see many universal remote will know and have to use a similar model from Samsung if you wish to use a Harmory remote.

      Feinburg:

I am very sorry to hear that dialogue is being drowned out in action scenes and too low to hear in other scenes.

To improve your experience, try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
      1) Turn off your Soundbar.
      2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
      3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

You can also try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.
