I originally bought bout a 2.1 system a couple years ago because I just didn't know the difference at the time. Been happy since day 1 with this system. One of the best things is how clear the sound is at low volume level. The bass is on par with most systems I've had. Nothing ground breaking but adequate. You will not know how you survived without a dedicated sound channel. I've only had it a couple of weeks so I can't speak on longevity of the system, but I've never had a sound bar quit more I grew tired of it and wanted an upgrade.

I returned the R-550 set because the quality of it was just low not impressive at all. It sounded like just a louder TV with not enough sound details. But overall I love this one and can wait to purchase the small additional left and right speakers for that full theater feeling !!

Added the Samsung soundbar and woofer (mounted the soundbar to hang just under the TV, which is on a tilting, pull of wall mount), and i'm pleased with the sound provided through the unit. It's small and sleek, so it won't dominate your entertainment set-up in size, but it does pack a punch. The bluetooth woofer gives good sound as well and complements the bar well. Happy with the sound and set-up.
