Not impressive at all. The speakers disconnect from the TV by themselves. Can't hear the conversations. Built-in TV speakers are better and clearer to hear. Very disappointed!

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-T650 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing connection issues. There are a few things you may want to check:
1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware to ver
1003.6 by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-T650 on the Samsung website.
Your soundbar is designed with a dedicated center channel speaker for crystal-clear dialogue. Connecting your soundbar via HDMI will give you the best audio. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar using HDMI: either by connecting a device to your soundbar, or by using ARC (Audio Return Channel).
To connect your soundbar and a device using HDMI:
1) Make sure the TV, soundbar, and device are turned off. Then, connect one end of an HDMI cable into any HDMI port on your TV (make a note of which one). Next, connect the other end to the HDMI OUT port on your soundbar.
2) Connect a second HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on your cable box or video game system to the HDMI IN port on your soundbar.
3) Turn your device on. Then, turn the soundbar on and press Source or Function to change the soundbar to HDMI.
4) Turn the TV on and press Source or Function to change the TV to the HDMI port that you connected the soundbar to in Step 1.
5) You will see a picture from the device on your TV, and hear audio from the soundbar.
To connect your soundbar with HDMI ARC:
1) Power on your TV and soundbar
2) Connect one end of an HDMI cable into the HDMI IN (ARC) port on your TV. Connect the other end into the HDMI OUT (TV-ARC) port on your soundbar
3) Change the source on your soundbar to the D.IN. setting. After a few seconds, "TV ARC" will appear on the soundbar's display, and the TV will transfer audio through the soundbar.
If you are experiencing the dialogue being drowned out in action scenes and too low to hear in other scenes, you can improve your experience, by using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
1) Turn off your Soundbar.
2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
You can also try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.
