Not as good as Vizeo

There is reason for the price cut

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Soundbar was not easy to setup on my Sony X900H TV it would randomly disconnect from the ARC HDMI saying not signal, and when it did work the bass was lackluster, I exchange this sound bar for the Vizio 5.1 sound bar and wow what a difference, easy setup no connection issues and sounds amazing. Who would of thought a Vizio soundbar could out perform a Samsung sound bar.

Features work but sound is not impressive

However, if you have a discerning ear for sound quality or like to listen to bass heavy music or special effects, then this is not for you. The overall sound quality is mediocre at best, though better than most TV speakers. There is a clearly missing high pass crossover to prevent low frequencies from being distorted by the bar.

2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Didn't improve dialog clarity

To improve your experience, try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
1) Turn off your Soundbar.
2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
You can also try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung HW-T650 Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the soundbar turning itself on after being turned off.
The Soundbar turns on by itself when another device connected to it tells it to. The solution depends on which device is causing the Soundbar to turn on.
1) For a Bluetooth source, press and hold the SOUND MODE button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that “OFF-BLUETOOTH POWER” appears on the display.
2) For an Optical source, press and hold the Left button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that “OFF-AUTO POWER LINK” appears on the display.
3) For an HDMI source, press and hold the Right button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that “OFF-ANYNET+” appears on the display.

No remote or manual

I received this product without the remote or even the manual. I can’t seem to get the subwoofer to connect without that remote. I did find the manual online, though. In order to hookup up the subwoofer, I need to press a button on the remote. I tried the same button on the soundbar but it didn’t work. Help

Your soundbar features Smart Sound Mode to automatically analyze your content and optimize sound settings for the best audio delivery. You can also select from STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, SMART, or DTS VIRTUAL:X effects by pressing the SOUND MODE button on the soundbar remote.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

Samsung has left us out to dry

We had Geek Squad set it up and all was ok. After a couple months, the optical stopped working on them. We switched out the optical cord just to see but it didn’t work. Spent 3 hours troubleshooting on phone with Samsung. They set up service and then they cancelled. They set up service again and then they cancelled again. They stated they would switch out the tv. After 4 more calls and horrible wait times and being hung up on we couldn’t get the RA number for Best Buy to switch out the tv. We went to Best Buy 4 times and they were so great. They did a lot to help us and gave us free Geek Squad support to change out the tv but of course the soundbar is still out. Another 4 hours with Samsung and long hold times. They said contact Best Buy and hung up on me. I am stuck. No fault of Best Buy per the managers tried so hard to help us out.

About the 6th month the system would not work. Samsung has some great products but this is not one I would purchase.
