Not Compatible with Dish TV

There are no programming codes that can be programmed with the Dish Remote model 54.0. After hours of searching and chatting on line with Samsung and Dish I finally got it to sort of work by using the Dish Teach Function. Probably going to sell it on line for a loss and get a TCL or Polk sound bar.

There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T650 Soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry that you are not happy with the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help. You may want to try changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM.
This can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, like for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 5.1 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.

Samsung T650 Soundbar never worked

This one never worked. The power for the soundbar would never come on but the sub woofer had power. So disappointed after having to return one and now have to go back and return this one.

Don’t purchase this!

The screen is too tiny, and the remote is nearly all black, and impossible to see! Plus, it didn’t sound as good as my 25 year old surround system. I love my Samsung TV and assumed this Soundbar would be of equal quality. I was mistaken!

Not worth it

Effectiveness as surround sound? Sub par. Not wireless as you would think...the speakers are wired to a box that uses Bluetooth to connect to a sound bar. Please try these tips to improve performance:
1) Check that the soundbar is correctly positioned correctly with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. We have found that many customers are misplacing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when seated), with the unit resting on the speakers, resulting in muffled sound.
2) Adjust your settings. Your soundbar features Smart Sound Mode to automatically analyze your content and optimize sound settings for the best audio delivery. Not good

Tried update, different HDMI cable and different tvs with no luck. Currently connected by optical cable. Samsung chat support is automated and no help. Buy something else.

Sound bar quit working

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I need to try and return it as it completely quit working 3 weeks after it was installed, but it is the Christmas season and I can't get thru to anyone at the store on the phone. I'm not about to go in the store right now.
