Doesn't charge my iPhone

My car only features a USB port so my options were limited. I experienced intermittent charging and data transfer within the first hour of a road trip. Returned and purchased another brand.

Samsung Galaxy S21

There are several settings I still need to assess. The only thing I am not a fan of is Google having access to everything. This is where I need to understand the endless settings.
