I used this cable to charge my smart phone while using G.P.S. navigation on a road trip, and it only seemed to slow the rate at which my phone battery discharged. I see no quick charging icon appear on my phone when using this cable, versus the stock cable. Use this, if you must, as a last resort if you have hours to charge your device.

It does not work for S6, as a matter of fact , I could not plug it into my phone. So not only could I not exchange it for the right one but also out of money. What a waste, when all I needed was the cord to go to my fast charging outlet.
