Takes three steps just ti turn it on. Temperature selection doesn’t work well. Gotta keep user manual handy. If u get a d0 error message, the correction listed in owners manual didn’t work. Had to turn breaker off and on to release lockout

We have been super careful but expected the wear on this to be tougher! We've never seen anything like this in the way of wear and tear on a cooktop. Now we have a large deep crack on it and no clue how it got there, we did NOT purchase the extended warranty and did not use a credit card that provides it. Shame on me. I will add that we are not daily cookers, most of the time we work away from home for months at a time so it's been installed for a year and used for a year but had purchased it a few months prior to that during a new build. Not happy, it's a lot of money. This also turns itself of randomly while cooking!! BEAWARE and GET the extended warrenty.

With that said, so far so good....time will tell.... My last range was over 15 years old.....so getting used to the new and approved technology was a learning curve.

Turning the power off and on does nothing. It clicks like it's going to heat, but it does nothing. All the other burners are functional. Because of Covid, the remodel took 8 months to complete. So the cooktop wasn't installed right after purchase and the warranty starts on the day of purchase (not even the day of delivery, much less day of installation). So it's now out of warranty, I'm out of luck, and Samsung is out of a customer forever. Do yourself a big favor and buy anything but Samsung products.
