Smart apps are very slow when compared to 40 inch. Not recommending this one.

We have recently purchased three smart HDTV's. Two are 48" Sony Bravia sets, one in the living room and one in master bedroom. For the second bedroom I tried a VIZIO E320FI-B2 from WalMart (sorry about that). I really tried to like the Vizio, it had decent sound and great smart tv features. Alas, the picture was simply sub par "imo." Finally took it back and visited my BestBuy (where we got the Sony's). They had this model Samsung for the same price as the returned Vizio. The picture on the Samsung runs rings around the Vizio...IMO! The Vizio picture sometimes looked washed out like you were looking through a veil. Not so the Samsung, it's pic just jumps out of the screen at you. It is very similar in image quality to the Sony Bravia's. On the not so great side, the sound on the Samsung is ok, but not as good as on the Vizio. Both have line level audio out jacks so they can be run through external amplified speakers or a small stereo. Most people have a good stereo and using the audio out jack to hook up to it saves a lot of money over purchasing a sound bar. Where the Samsung falls down is on it's setup and the Smart Hub. Yes it works, but it does take time to set up on this TV, both the Sony and Vizio were easier. When you finally finish putting your info into the archaic Samsung menu screens it runs an update for the software through your WiFi connection. It doesn't take but five minutes or so, but at one point it looked like it had stalled, patience is a virtue. Now that the hub is up and running it is quite noticeable that Samsung's app selection is very inferior to Sony and Vizio's. in addition, both the Sony and Vizio automatically found my Western Digital wifi networked hard drive and connected to it, the Samsung....unless I am missing something....does not have an app to do this. Also missing is the Picassa app which on my Sony let's me view my archived online pictures. Finally, I haven't found Amazon Prime yet but hope it is just hidden in one of the app categories I haven't discoveered yet. Don't let my comments about the smart features turn you off, this is still a wonderful tv for the price. Wish I could have given it five stars. Overall, I would buy this TV again for the awesome picture quality and acceptable sound. It does do the primary Smart function of connecting quickly to Netflix, but seems to need better apps and a bit better set up to match the quality of its image.

The sensor was broken on this TV. I bought a Samsung Smart TV back in March which is slimmer and works better than this one. The sensor was bad and the TV took 2-3 minutes to just warm up.
