A pretty good little TV so far

I've only had this TV for three days, but so far, so good. My only concern so far is that the construction feels VERY flimsy, almost fragile, so I was inclined to treat it like an egg. The rearward facing speakers were a bit muffled at low volume and when I had it pushed back against the wall, but by pushing it to the front part of the stand that I use to allow it almost a foot of space the sound quality was reasonably good for me (I have a lot of hearing loss from my Army days so I'm not a good judge of clarity and quality, though). When I put the TV into gaming mode the picture quality dropped a bit, but I use this set only as a computer monitor and for PS3 couch parties so again, it is reasonably good for less than the $200 price. I upgraded the firmware first thing, another easy step: just download the software from Samsung.com, put it on a thumb drive, and plug it into the USB port on the back, and the TV found it and upgraded without a problem. The remote feels a little like a toddler's toy in my hands, but again, less than $200. I'll cope. So, if you're looking for a television as part of a main room entertainment center I'd probably go with something a lot larger than this, but for a small room or limited application like I'm using it, you could do worse than this set.

    Gift for grandparents

Was able to order online and pick up from store short time later, which was great since the grandparents were really impatient as their TV just stopped working. They love the picture when they first tried it. Haven't heard anything else since so assume it's been working well...

I have had many Samsung TV's I absolutely love the quality, clarity, and product that it is. I most recently purchased a small Samsung Tv for my guest room. I couldn't be happier. It's a great quality product for a reasonable price

I purchased this television for my bedroom. It is a perfect size with an amazing picture. It isn't a big deal at all that it is only 720, especially if it is just for a bedroom. I originally had a Toshiba 24 inch, but the sound quality was pathetic so I decided to exchange it and upgrade to the Samsung and do not regret my decision at all.

    Great TV for the Price

Just picked this TV up today. I needed a new TV for the bedroom and research a bunch of different makes, models and size TVs. I went into Best Buy and looked at the LG, Samsung and Visio 26 and 32 inch TVs in the under $300 price range. Based purely on picture quality in the store, I settled quickly on Samsung (full disclosure I already own a Samsung and am extremely happy with the TV I currently own). I then left the store and went online to read some of the reviews for this TV (on Best Buy and CNET) and honestly the reviews seem to be right on the money. Simply put (as many other reviewers have said), for the money (I paid $279 on sale) the picture is outstanding and the sound could be better. For connectivity, again at this price point, it has what you need. 2 HDMIs, composite etc. If you need more than what this TV has for connectivity you need to go up in price. Bottom line, unless the TV suddenly goes south in the next week/month, for this price, I would highly recommend this TV.

Most Features in a TV I've Ever Had

    Posted .

This TV has some extremely nice features, such as screen and sound, for the price I paid for it. I got it roughly $100 off because of a sale and soma special promotion on top of it. Some of the things I enjoy: --I really enjoy the ability to have your TV jump to a certain station to watch a program at a certain time. The guide the TV has will tell you the next 10-14 hours of programming. --The energy star rating is like $6 a year or something like that. It's very energy efficient and the settings for it still look very nice on the screen. --The ability to listen to your music on your TV is very convenient- just plug a flash drive in the back and go to USB in the settings, then click music. It also supports blu-ray quality video, but I don't know how to get that working yet. --This TV has a sleep timer. Some of the new ones that I've had don't include them --The digital TV tuner is 9/10 compared to the strongest tuner I have ever had. The one feature that this TV lacks is a signal strength meter, because I watch TV with an antenna. Also, if there is a weak signal and the tuner doesn't pick it up, it displays the analog picture for the RF station. To fix that you must re-scan and try again. --For analog TV stations, the TV automatically reduces as much static as possible by changing the picture settings temporarily *My one recommendation for this TV is that the sound setting should be set to MUSIC for the most bass and clarity*

    Great budget TV

This TV is perfect for a bedroom or extra living area. If you're looking for your primary TV, then you'll probably want a refresh rate of at least 120Hz. You may also want to consider something with more than 2 HDMI ports, especially if you plan on hooking up cable boxes, BluRay players, and game systems. One area that this TV excels in is sound quality. The sound is both loud and crystal clear. Overall the price more than makes up for any shortcomings this TV has.

    Great HDTV for gaming

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This review will mostly be about gaming on this TV. I have been wanting a smaller TV for my study area mainly for Xbox 360 playing shooter games like COD or Halo 4. Since I mainly did competitive Xbox Live matches with these games, it was straining my eyes to play on a big screen TV and it made the game harder than it had to be. I kept dying or missing kills because playing on a 60-70" screen and moving around made me dizzy and lose focus. So I waited it out to find a good TV on sale and this happened to go on sale during Christmas at $280. If you have the patience, this TV is a great deal when it goes on sale and even at 720p it's still a great picture. As for TV buttons, it's not the traditional button setup seen on most TV. It's one circular knob on the bottom where you control volume and power on/off. May take some used getting used to, but I think it's a great idea so the screen border is less cluttered and more sleek. Also you don't need to worry about feeling for the right button because the wheel knob is direction based and feels very natural. But for competitive gaming this TV is the one to get. The HD picture is bright and crisp so you can see the fine detail of any far away enemy sniping from a window building across the map making long distance shots easier to nail. And you can find enemies trying to hide in dark spots or bushes because the detailed image makes it easier to spot them. No lag at all so on screen actions are never delayed. After I got this TV, Black Ops 2 became alot more enjoyable because I could finally get kills efficiently and obtain kill streaks more often so I started winning more.

First off, I upgraded from an Insignia 24" LED 1080p, this TV is trip to the moon difference better from the Insignia, Can't go wrong, I have it on the wall and the sound is great, I am not using it for my entertainment system, it's a dining room addition. Colors are vibrant, blacks are what they need to be, black. Timer to set up the auto power on and off is great. Eat my breakfast and go to work with no worries. Very light as well. Hope you enjoy.

This is a great TV, regardless of the fact that its 720p, it is great for a gamer. To enhance it you can HDMI cable which helped me. The staff was very nice and even set up the stand for me. If you are looking for an inexpensive TV for gaming, or just watching TV to put in a room, this is great! Also, remember... It's very reliable since it's one of the most well-known TV companies out there.

    Great First Flat Screen TV

TV is easy to use and get around. Being a first time owner of a Flat Screen TV it is awesome! I personally dislike the speakers being on the back of the TV, but I didn't know that most Flat Screen TVs are that way. I believe that having the sound on the back of the tv makes the quality of whatever you are watching or doing less enjoyable because the sound could be hitting a wall instead of your ears. Other than that, the tv is great! A sweet black friday gift to myself!

Bought this TV for $269 and couldn't be happier. The setup is super easy, only had to attach cable cord and HDMI and I was finished. Picture is great, sound, quality, everything you'd expect in a Samsung. This is my 2nd Samsung TV and I'll continue to buy them, just a great product.

Can never go wrong with Samsung. Great picture, very good sound, perfect for a bedroom. Wall mounted with a tilt mount. At more than 4' you can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080 on a 32" screen.

The best picture and sound quality

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a great TV. I got it when it was on sale for $249. The picture quality is one of the best. The sound quality is the best I have heard is this size TV. Beware that this TV has no outputs whatsoever. So you cannot connect any audio device to it, unless you buy a sound bar that supports HDMI. Some of them support only digital audio output which this TV does not have although in specifications page it says it has digital audio output, but it does not. Usually 32 inch TVs will have all kinds of inputs and outputs, but this TV does not. That is the only downside of this TV. However, the audio quality is so good that I am not that upset about the lack of audio outputs anymore. I was thinking about connecting the speakers through a headphone jack but when I brought it home and unboxed it I realized there was no headphone jack... I am glad I went with a brand name TV, there is a difference. It also has USB port that you can connect your flash drive or HDD to and it will play everything: videos, music, and pictures. No VGA input, you can only connect your computer through HDMI. Overall, I am satisfied with this TV. A headphone jack and VGA input would make it perfect!

This TV has a very good picture and the sound is adequate, but not exceptional. This is the lightest TV I have ever owned which made it very easy to mount on the wall. This is my first Samsung TV, but I will certainly consider Samsung for any future TV purchases.
