Nice TV for my first flat screen LED.

Why would a TV have speakers in the back instead of in the front of the TV. In my TV "case" the sound is hollow so now I guess I have to pay additional for speakers that will send the sound to the front. Also the screen size settings are either too small, leaving unused space on top & bottom OR so large that information at the top & bottom are cut off. Custom screen size isn't enabled.
