I had to set up my old superbox on the tv and watch outdated programs. May when my grandson comes to visit he can set this tv up as instructed. This is the last tv I will purchased!

Thank you for your review and for sharing your concerns. A Samsung Account is required to access Smart Hub, which powers the core smart features of your TV - including app access (like Netflix and YouTube), service updates, and content personalization.
Without signing in and accepting the Terms and Conditions, your TV will function in a basic mode - supporting external devices (such as HDMI and over-the-air antenna), but streaming apps and Smart Hub services will be unavailable.

I previous tv was a Samsung non smart and was still functioning after 10 years. Also, since it is a wall mounted bedroom set, it had to be the size was limited. This being a smart TV, I was unfamiliar with the operating system and couldn’t get used to it. Had to install Fire TV in order to navigate the streaming system.

To further optimize performance, try running Device Care, which checks memory, clears unused cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
