TV is brand new and the sound keeps going in and out periodically. Geek squad says I have to prove it is happening. This is hard to do with an intermittent problem. Help!

The picture is merely OK -- nothing to write home about. The sound, however, is disappointing.

On paper, the TV seems meh. It has limited HDMI ports, no RCA audio out, no headphone jack, and low wattage speakers. On top of that, there's an annoying dimming feature which can ruin the scene depending on how dark it is. In practice, Samsung has left the door wide open for the intrepid user willing to augment the TV. Build Quality: The only downside to the build quality are the legs. The legs themselves support the TV just fine however I would have preferred a stand like my old 32" 720p TV. With those bases, I could pivot & use my existing TV stand that has the correct height but with these legs, I have to buy a new TV stand that does not have the desired height. Connectivity: One of the downsides of the TV is the limited connectivity. Most notably 1 USB port and 2 HDMI ports. If you're using a streaming stick (for me, Chromecast) that USB port is taken up for power. One HDMI port would be taken up by the streaming device. So that leaves you with 1 HDMI port. For me, I have a PS4 connected to the remaining HDMI port so there are none left. The bright side of connectivity is that it features an Ethernet port and an optical audio port. TV's in this class are typically missing either one or both. The Ethernet port alone is golden as it can make up for bad Wi-Fi. Streaming is a delight with 100 mbps internet speed with the TV directly plugged in via the Ethernet cord. Utilizing HDMI switches, you can add more HDMI ports. They are inexpensive and solves the limited port problem entirely. Unfortunately you're stuck with 1 USB port. You may be able to get around it by connecting your streaming device to the charger, freeing up the port in the process. Picture: Quite possibly the best thing about this TV is the picture quality although it's hampered by the TV's micro-dimming feature. After proper calibration, the picture looks amazing despite the occasional dimming. With service menu tweaking, you can disable the dimming which makes the picture look perfect in all conditions. With 32" 1080p TV's, it's unexpected that it also comes with HDR. While the implementation is not quite the same as a higher end set, the difference can still be notable and appreciated. Enough to the point that I cannot imagine buying a 4K set without it. HDR is best enjoyed via gaming as the setting is divorced from resolution. Netflix also offers 1080p HDR as long as you have the Premium plan. Audio: The second worst downside of the TV has to be the 5W speakers. The TV gets sufficiently loud but there is a noticeable tinny sound. What I do like is that there is an Optimized and Amplify setting which can make dialogue sound much clearer. On it's own, the audio is simply passable. The key here is to utilize the TV's optical audio out port to add in a soundbar. Unfortunately the TV does not have Audio Out via RCA & so the Optical Audio Out is your only option for expansion. Smart Platform: Another high mark for this TV is the TV's smart platform featuring Samsung's Tizen system. It's functionally the same as other higher end models however the app availability is not the same. Still, there's a wealth of apps to choose from & the fact that you can add more sets it apart from other Smart TV's. The included apps support HDR with the exception of Amazon. It's very convenient to hop on and enjoy content immediately (such as Youtube for example). I don't know if other 32" smart TV's feature this, but this one has built in DLNA support. My PC was already set to share my library on my home network and the TV was able to pick it right up. Using this, I can access any video or audio located on my PC. A very powerful feature as you can live entirely on it if you know what you're doing. Conclusion: Despite the setbacks noted above, this TV is fantastic. Yes it is THAT good that it still earns the 4 star rating. Not even the TV's 51ms input latency sets it back. I still use this for gaming even though my monitor is significantly faster. The picture quality cannot be beat in this price & size range.

So far BestBuy lied about one day delivery. Order was placed in time for next day delivery that was only 20 miles away. One day now changed to two days. But yet their site still shows one day delivery for this TV.

Worked great until a month ago it would not connect to the wifi despite troubleshooting. Attempting to return or contacting Samsung for an exchange. I’m normally happy with Samsung products but this was disappointing.

It worked fine—for about 26 days. As we were watching, screen turned pink with no picture, lines, anything. We checked all connections and satellite. Could not fix it. Best Buy honored warranty and we purchased another brand.

Bought a Samsung solely for the purpose of casting from my Samsung phone. Audio is terrible. Sound is constantly glitching requiring me to disconnect/reconnect. Extremely irritating given that both products are Samsung. Have updated phone, television and SmartView app several times.

Good Picture For A Set In This Class

    Posted .

I bought this set to replace a Roku Select Series 32 inch set. The Roku didn't have any way to adjust audio delay and so did not work for me in my bedroom system. This set does have a way to adjust the delay, although the default setting was dead nuts on for my needs. The set was reasonably easy to set up, although like all sets at this end of the spectrum, the legs were a bit of a pain to get fully tightened down. It was the same way with the Roku and the Toshiba sets which lived in the system prior to this, so that seems to be par for the course. For a small bedroom set the picture is quite good. Blacks are a bit murky rather than black, but I'm used to an LG OLED set in my main system. Other than that, color accuracy is good and contrast is decent. It works via IP for remote control so it works well in the Harmony Hub based remote system I prefer to use. The included remote is a bit hard to use as all the buttons seem to be about the same size so it is difficult to use w/o looking at it. Of course this is all moot because I use a Logitech Harmony Touch remote. I also didn't like using the Tizen interface, it is worst than most smart TV interfaces I've used. I had a spare Roku Streaming Stick 4K+ hanging around, so that problem was easily solved. I don't really consider this any sort of a dealbreaker as I long ago decided that using a BYOB streaming media player was the way to go. Roku, Amazon or Google are all better than the old school proprietary streaming OS's, it seems like LG and Samsung are the last makers who roll their own.
