Customers are saying

Customers commend the 32" Class N5300 Series LED Full HD Smart Tizen TV (2018) for its excellent picture quality, ease of use, and smart TV capabilities. Many also appreciate the TV's price and size, finding it suitable for smaller spaces. However, some users express dissatisfaction with the remote control's design and functionality, and a few mention concerns about the sturdiness of the stand. The lack of Bluetooth capability is another recurring negative point.

I purchase this tv for a bedroom. It's mounted which for me makes for a better view but the room has soft to dim lighting which makes the pic appear gloomy & dark. The setup was made easy by using my samsung account login.

The first TV was sent and there was trouble with the shipping, not Best buy's fault. But when I asked to have another TV sent out Best buy refunded my money. As the TV was a gift I wanted it so then customer support said they would send a new TV and not charge me shipping and I was charged $50 for shipping. And then when I went back to get my shipping charges back it was extremely difficult to explain and be understood. I do not know why the chat is tremendously slow and they seem like they have a hard time comprehending what the problem is when everything is written out.

This TV will disturb your household and maybe your apartment neighbors by oddly asking in a really fast Voice if you want your Captions turned on. It will also block your View by putting the Caption Controls right on the screen, even though you didn't go into the TV to adjust any Settings.

Defective right out of the box. Went to turn it on and saw a black screen with a bunch of lines in it. Called Samsung and they said the problem wasn't covered by their warranty so i'd have to just return it to the store. Seemed a bit cheap and was pretty small. Will be returning this and looking for something different.

Great tv! I Decided I was finally going to get a tv instead of using my laptop. The options seemed too complicated to order online so I visited my favorite store to check them out. This Samsung was the perfect size for the room with a really great picture and the price made it too good to pass up. My only wish would have been for a remote that lights up. Navigating all the channels and apps took a little time to master but initial set up was easy. All in all a great tv at a great price. Couldn’t recommend more.

An oblong shape in a square hole....My cabinet was made in the 1980's when TV's were basically square. When My square 27" TV was dying, beginning in 2018, I researched TV's and liked this Samsung model quite a bit over other models. I remember at that time this model was selling for over $300. At the end of 2019, after the Christmas rush, I decided to buy a new TV and checked to see if this model N5300 was still available. It was. For $169 at Best Buy. Wow!! My decision to buy was inspired by the fact that I had the opportunity to stream Videos and music online, I had to order a little custom made table from Etsy to put underneath the TV, and raise it up a bit, and fill some of the empty space in my square TV cabinet. The table has a nice usable storage drawer. If there is anything negative to speak of about this TV I will rate the speakers as possibly lacking a bit if you turn it loud. But I don't, so it is a non issue. Everything else is wonderful. I'm going to buy another of this model for my master bedroom so that I can stream in there as well. The wifi works great, amazing actually. And I also have a TV service that I connected via coaxial. My DVD player is connected via an HDMI cable, which I have never used before. The DVD's play very well. I enjoy a crystal clear, extremely sharp picture. I recommend this model of Samsung TV's.

Review of TV and Fridge Purchased at Best Buy TV: I recently purchased a [Brand and Model] TV from Best Buy, and it has completely transformed my entertainment experience. The picture quality is outstanding, with vibrant colors and crystal-clear resolution. Watching movies feels like being in a theater, and the smart features make streaming incredibly convenient. The interface is user-friendly, and setup was a breeze. I also appreciate the sleek, modern design, which fits perfectly in my living room. The sound quality is good, though I’d recommend pairing it with a soundbar for a more immersive experience. Overall, I’m thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality TV.

The Samsung 32" was the perfect product replacement for what we needed, both space and quality. Replaced a 15 yr old Samsung. Now internet connected as well as and excellent picture. Apps available, apps preinstalled like Netflix and so many more. From the box to using, simple easy set up with great direction. Nothing left to chance on installation. Overall Samsung provided the best choice not only in the size needed , but with the quality. From the audio to the ease of use, from the tv remote to the cable remote and last the tv menu/guide could not be simpler. Connect and watch, great.

    My First Smart TV

My first smart (requires internet/wifi) TV, purchased for about $250 Jan '23, prompted by being described as very reliable and getting a lot for the money by a consumer magazine, liked it so much I bought a second one (for another room) a few months later. Not too difficult for an 80 year old to hook it up and learn its functions over time, very good clear picture, even with over the air antennas that I bought this month when I cancelled cable tv, has hundreds of channels just in its Samsung lineup, able to install apps for other cost free streaming services, both sets working well with first closing in on two years now. Can't find anything negative so far. My understanding is that this Samsung model first became available in 2018, suggesting this one has been a winner for Samsung.

Good picture, but ARC is buggy

I needed a budget-friendly 1080p 32-inch TV, and after much research, bought the Samsung N5300. The good news is, picture quality is excellent, and because it’s an “IPS” (In-Plane Switching) model, you get a wide viewing angle. On the downside, the remote control has poor ergonomics inasmuch as the Play, Pause, Fast Forward and Rewind buttons are tiny and positioned at the very bottom, which makes them ridiculously awkward to manipulate. A good universal remote would fix that, though, and as I’ll explain, there’s another good reason to buy one anyway. I’m taking one star off my rating because of an ongoing problem with the ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature. If you’re not familiar with ARC, you may want to research it before you buy. Basically, it allows your TV remote’s on/off, volume, and mute buttons to control the same functions on your A/V receiver, and for the receiver to automatically switch input selectors when you switch the input source of the TV from HDMI (antenna or cable) to Ethernet (streaming) and vice versa. This all happens over a single HDMI cable, the same one that carries the picture signals from the receiver to the TV. Unfortunately, this TV’s ARC is buggy and unreliable. It worked for the first couple of months, then stopped working for a few weeks, and has recently started working again—on its own, without my changing any settings. When the ARC circuitry fails, the TV sound output defaults back to the TV speakers, and the HDMI output option, normally present, disappears from the Sound Output menu. The third sound output option is Audio Out/Optical, which uses an optical audio cable. It’s actually better than HDMI (it supports more of the surround formats), but it carries only sound signals to the A/V receiver; the ARC signals and functions are only available through HDMI. I did some research and learned that Samsung TVs have had issues with ARC for years; it’s not just this model. Personally, this wouldn’t have been a deal breaker for me even if I’d known about it because my old TV didn’t have ARC (I didn’t even know what it was) and I was used to using multiple remotes, anyway. If ARC is a priority, you should probably buy a different brand of TV. Otherwise, I recommend you connect both an optical audio cable and an HDMI cable to your receiver, enable “AnyNet + (HDMI-CEC)” in Settings-General-External Device Manager (this activates ARC), and “Receiver HDMI” in Settings-Sound-Sound Output. If the ARC stops working, change Sound Output from “TV Speakers” to “Audio Out/Optical.” If the ARC starts working again, it will revert back to “Receiver HDMI” on its own; at least that’s how mine works. And if you want to use Optical Out exclusively and not have to deal with this issue at all, just disable “AnyNet +.” To sum up, if you can live without (reliable) ARC, you don’t need 4K, and you want a 32-inch TV with great picture quality, the N5300 is an excellent choice and you probably can’t do better for the price.
