Customers are saying

Customers commend the 32" Class N5300 Series LED Full HD Smart Tizen TV (2018) for its excellent picture quality, ease of use, and smart TV capabilities. Many also appreciate the TV's price and size, finding it suitable for smaller spaces. However, some users express dissatisfaction with the remote control's design and functionality, and a few mention concerns about the sturdiness of the stand. The lack of Bluetooth capability is another recurring negative point.

My husband suggested that we get this TV for my bedroom. I cosleep with my two-year-old, so I’ve been using my phone to watch my shows while he goes to sleep. I was hesitant to purchase it after reading that the sound quality wasn’t what some consumers expected. It does, however, work totally fine for the purpose that I need it. The picture is great! I would definitely prefer a single-leg base, but that’s not a big deal. I also REALLY dislike the remote. Half of the time the buttons do something totally different than they are supposed to. Again, not a dealbreaker and I assume I can switch it out for a better one anyway. I think it’s a great size for the bedroom!

Great TV for ordinary program viewing. Setup was easy - the TV and cable box communicated so settings were almost automatic on both. Very light weight - hung on the wall with no effort as a one person job. Only downside we've seen so far is that the iPhone app that is touted in the literature is useless if the TV is used with a cable box. Doesn't change the channels, and doesn't do anything at all unless the TV is already on, so what's the point? That doesn't detract from the TV's overall good quality and excellent picture. Definitely recommend.

    Great TV but wobbly legs

The television picture is very good, as expected, since Samsung generally has a good reputation for building quality electronic products. I wanted a small, smart TV with 1080p resolution with HD qualtify video for a small apartment living room. The one shortcoming I found was that the legs holding up the TV were not solid once assembled...the legs wobbled a bit at the base of the TV, so the TV wobbled too. To fix the problem, I took the legs off, inserted one very small metal washer on each screw, another very small washer onto the underside of the round plastic housing, and reattached the two legs. That worked...the TV no longer wobbled. The plastic legs, as designed, are a weak point of this Samsung TV, and many other TVs as well. I have seen other TV sets where this type of plastic leg has broken off at its attachment on the base of the TV. I think that manufacturing companies should be using metal legs instead of these plastic ones, and have the screws fit into a metal housing on the underside of the TV. There would be less wobbling of the TV and less breakage of the legs, if metal legs were used.

At 1pm today I picked up this TV and about 30 minutes after I got it out of the box, it was in place and completely set up (everything from my soundbar, my funky network, and multiple streaming apps). It's not the newest model or the biggest or the highest resolution available, HOWEVER the picture and sound are wonderful and the setup was a breeze. I have other Samsung TVs and they always keep me happy. This time the setup was even more ridiculously simple and fast and omg the difference between this and the VIZIO it replaced is NIGHT AND DAY. I'd purchased the "equivalent" Vizio model last year, suckered by the 1080p at 720p price and I've been fighting with it since day one. I feel like I wasted a year of my life. This Samsung is just a reminder that I should have stuck with Samsung last year instead of trying to save $50 or $100 or whatever because you get what you pay for (actually this was hella cheap yayyy sale!) ♡♡

This is a replacement for a TV in the bedroom. Size is great and set up was very easy. I do over the air and Roku - I did not need to reset anything - I just connected them before I turned it on the first time and it worked like magic. Also the sound is much better than the one I replaced.

Needed a medium size TV for spouse's art small art studio/office. Room and furnishings limited viewing distance to 4-5 ft. Big wide screen would have been overwhelming. Needed Full HD level picture because of limited viewing distance. This TV delivers for this requirement, Especially like that it easily pairs with my xfinity XR11 and XR15 remotes. Very pleased with the product and Best Buy online ordering and store pick up. Arrived at store shortly after store opening time and avoided the crowds.

I am very pleased with the TV, but I went from watching on my laptops and old smaller TV for 15 years, so almost anything is an upgrade. Prior to buying the TV, I had bought an Apple TV and I realized I don’t think I need an Apple TV when you have a smart TV. I guess I didn’t know what a smart TV was. I picked this TV because it was the highest rated 32” by Consumer Reports. I also bought an Apple HomePod smart speaker, but I don’t think it’s really necessary since the TV speakers seem fine to me.

Great tv option. Had my eye on it for a while. It does say 2018 (it's 2024) so it would be nice if there was some explanation why it says 2018. Heard various comments from employees, sounds like same model from 2018 and they have stuck with making new ones and keeping same year model. Otherwise people may think they are buying something that was made and boxed in 2018 and it's been sitting around. I use it for a spare bedroom and think it's the perfect size for a bedroom. I wish they would go back to using a single pedestal vs the current two-legged stand, it's a bit wobbly and am concerned if it gets bumped it'll fall. Set up was EASY. I have other Samsung tvs and am a fan of the brand.

I bought one of these as a TV for watching Blu-Ray and streaming video. The picture quality is very good, as it uses an LED panel, with a full-array local dimming backlight control that offers bright and vivid colors, as well as HDR10 visuals. As a simple smart TV, it gets the job done. However, the remote control that comes with the TV isn't really compatible with any of the Samsung Blu-Ray players that I've tried and it has limited functionality for the ones it will work with. On the flipside, the remotes that come with the Samsung Blu-Ray players also have limited compatibility with the TV. There is a networked remote control app called "Samsung Smart Things" that you can use to control the TV and connected Blu-Ray players, using a smartphone or tablet, but it's compatibility is also limited and it is somewhat glitchy. One use I have found for this display is as a 32-inch 1080P PC display, as the picture quality is superior to any of the 32-inch 1080P LED PC monitors that you will be able to buy, simply because they don't use full-array local dimming like this HDTV does. That being said, those monitors will cost as much as this TV usually does, so this is definitely the better choice to buy, as it also has built-in speakers that are better than anything you'll find in a regular PC monitor. As for the TV software, it's rather clunky and takes a lot of effort to get set-up, but once you do get streaming apps installed, configured, and arranged in your preferred order, it isn't an issue. However, you will find there are functionality issues with the streaming apps and remote controls, including the digital remote app that I mentioned above, so that can be a problem that leads to you using multiple remotes to operate the TV. Hulu in particular, requires me to use the remote that came with the TV, while the digital remote app and additional Samsung TV remotes don't work with it. That being said, most people will likely elect to use a Fire TV or Roku box over the built-in streaming, simply for ease of use and quality purposes. Samsung also makes a larger 40-inch version of this TV, which has the same features and performance, but with a larger screen. If you want something a bit bigger and don't want a 4K TV, that is what you should buy. The software and remote are the same on that model, so whatever I said here also applies to that one.

The picture of this Samsung tv is excellent. I have been used to buying Roku-Ready tvs so this was a few extra setup steps. The item is light and attaching the feet was slightly counterintuitive, but not a real issue. What i was truly surprised at was the remote. It was like those in the 90’s with little tiny buttons close together. Fortunately, i was able to switch control to my Roku remote which is much better. Overall, it was a great value and has an excellent image.

Bought this tv for a spare room. At first I was a little bothered by the purchase because I went in store and the price was set at $140 which was doable for us, but when I went to purchase I realized after we paid it was $300 which is crazy! I was dissatisfied with the price right away but my husband convinced me it was fine so I got over it. Still, $300 for a 32’ tv is a bit much. I wouldn’t knowingly go and shop for a $300 32’ tv. The picture is good and Samsung tv is always a cool feature. I really like the tv and I find myself sneaking away to watch tv in the guest room often! For a cheaper price you can find another tv. The price you’re paying for here is basically for Samsung tv.

I bought 5 of these for my office. Perfect size, great clarity ... my patients can really see the smallest of details with ease. The Smart TV function worked well when we were watching the included Apps to watch the latest Hurricane Scare on the weather. My Samsung TVs always last. My oldest LCD is 9 yrs old and the clarity seems like I just picked it up off the shelf. The price was a steal!

This tv is greAt. I am able to connect all my accounts (Netflix, amazon, Spotify, etc) since it is a smart tv. The picture quality is also great. When i turn the volume up, there are options to turn the volume up on the tv, speaker, or both, which leads me to believe this tv would work well with one of the Samsung soundbar speakers. Setup was easy after following the user manual.
