Nice design, okay everything else
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only real positive is the design. It is great and very minimalistic. The panel itself is bright and the picture is great. The TV functionality overcomplicates everything. I spent 15 min trying to make it translate the signal from my laptop. If you're looking for a good monitor you can pass this one. There are better options in that price range. Basically, here you pay for design and TV features (that most won't use anyway). No, it is not a competitor for Apple Studio Display, it is just laughable to hear when someone says so. Not even close. Maybe appearance but everything else is not even close to the same level. This monitor is essentially a $400 monitor with a $700 price tag

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my monitor- amazingly versatile, ascetically pleasing, and the remote is awesome. I love that I don’t need external speakers, and can easily transition from personal to work from home use. The adjustability of the monitor itself is also nice, which I find lacking in a lot of options. The camera is awesome for video calls, but the microphone is not up to par. Since I have my laptop connected to it I use my laptop or headphone microphones and it works just fine.

Decent Monitor, great smart monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this product offers a compelling range of features, its durability raises concerns. Careful handling is essential to prevent breakage. Additionally, viewing from off-angles could be improved for a more optimal experience.

Great Monitor for Working and Streaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is awesome. The camera is great for Zoom calls as well. I have it hooked up to my MacBook Air and enjoy the large screen for working. The media capabilities really allow this to serve as a TV too. Great for my office that is sometimes used as a spare bedroom.

Great Purchase!!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is the best by far. The size is perfect and the options to use it as a monitor or TV is great. The fact that it only takes one connection to use for my computer laptop is so conventient. Also so great that I do not have to use a docking station or anything in between to connect. I love it and would definitely recommend.

Smart Screens will become the way.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace 2 older LCD screens which were taking too much on the small desk in the living room. And being situated in a room with a lot of natural light a bright screen was necessary. The claimed 400nits brightness has no problems with very good viewing angles. Being in the living room, the thin and clean look makes it look attractive in any room. The stand is a touch wobbly on the desk which is not the sturdiest. The magnetically mounting web cam is nice party trick with thoughtful privacy lens cover (ALSO magnetic) couldn’t be easier to install it though I don’t know why there is a USB C to proprietary connection adapter. Does this mean there are possible other accessories this connection could be intended for? The camera quality is very good for 1080p and the face tracking works but a bit slow. I don’t video conference that much but the quality better than most of the other webcams I have tried. Status indicator on the camera to show it is active is a nice feature. Everything about the webcam is pretty cool EXCEPT for the range of motion. USB C + 65w charging is the way and should be expected to be seen on devices but it ONLY 2 USB C and micro HDMI connections (cables are included though!). I connected a USB C hub to the screen and was able to add another USB C port, a few full size ports and card readers to the smart screen. A few additional ports would be welcome, but that would most likely have added to the overall thickness. There MANY ways to utilize the M8 as a secondary Windows monitor, DEX terminal, or stand-alone TV/Streaming and Internet browsing. The 4k resolution at 32” gives me plenty of additional screen real estate whether I am using as a second screen for a laptop or as my DEX station. The M8 only has a 60Hz refresh rate but it’s fine for most tasks as it is not intended as a gaming monitor, but it can do it. One thing I have found is that the mouse only works within SOME applications (such as browser). The main menu screen the mouse does not work. I have not been able to get the mouse to work within DEX or PC when connected to just the screen but the keyboard was OK. I connected the mouse to the devices I am connecting to the monitor and work around it that way. Also the USB C connection is not consistent with Windows or DEX. It seems to want to prefer a wireless connection, which works but there is a lag. For navigation around the screen menu you will need the remote. Or else you will need to use the Joystick control, which is easy to use, but needs to be relocated as it is not too easy to reach for me. Some of the features need too many clicks to go from one input to another or need to go menu diving for certain settings (of which there are a LOT of) BUT the voice search feature (which I usually tend to never use) comes in EXTREMELY handy for the M8. I both like and hate that the remote is in keeping with the rest of Samsung remotes AND it can charge via USB C (yay no more battery swaps – but I use rechargeables for my other remotes now). The remote is different enough to know which goes to which, but not different enough or smart (screen) enough to let it know which remote turns which device on. As this screen is in the living room opposite of our TV. The TV remote IR signal is reflected off the glossy screen and turns on the M8 90% of the time. It tends to get a annoying and I will most likely need to relocate the screen away from the IR line of sight. The M8 is a good replacement for my 2 older LCDs and there are A LOT of features packed into this smart monitor. Tizen is a little clunky and I have experienced some freezes from time to time. Hopefully this isn’t just a pet project from Samsung and they put out some meaningful updates to improve on the software. The M8 allegedly also can replace my SmartThings Hub, which I have not tried yet due to the volume of things I have connected within my home, but if it can be a visual focal point of my smart home hub It will be a welcome addition. Barring the small issues I am satisfied with the smart monitor and would recommend it for anyone looking to use it as a do MOST monitor OR for smaller spaces could serve as a TV and everything else monitor.

Great for what it is
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a niche product, no doubt. That said, it was exactly what I wanted: a nice computer monitor (4k resolution, USB-C inputs) that also has important TV features (great native contrast, remote included, multimedia features). I couldn't find another monitor that checked every box I had.

Great Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this monitor for some time now and love it. Just beware of the two optional connections to connect your laptop or other devices! I love the matte screen; doesn't reflect me looking at it.

Monitor with smart features built in!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Samsung smart monitor is, in some ways, the best of both worlds in terms of having a great monitor as well as a smart tv all packaged into one screen in your office! The computer screen, which is connected via an HDMI cable included with the screen (one side is micro-hdmi and the otherside is standard hdmi), functions as you would expect it to while connecting to a standard monitor. It is the features that lie beneath that are the icing on the cake. First of all, there is voice assistant integration. While working, I am able to talk to "Alexa" and ask her for information or to complete tasks for me. Some of the smart features of the screen, like streaming services, are able to be used while working from the computer connected via a picture-in-picture mode. My only complaint about this mode is that you cannot stream every app from the smart screen. There were only just a small hand full of apps that can be used for PIP mode. Hopefully this will change with a future upgrade to the software? The screen also comes with a remote. This is the primary item used to interact with and set up the screen. There is a detachable web cam that magnetizes to the back of the screen. It comes with a small magnetic privacy cover. I liked that I could detach the web cam easily whenever I wasn't using it. The built-in speakers are okay, but they aren't really anything to write home about. I feel that if you, like me, have a desk not sitting against a wall, you lose some of the sound because the speakers appear to be placed on the back of the screen. I could see bouncing the sound off a wall as being a better option for using the built-in speakers. This screen is very sleek and well built. It comes packed with features and it could maybe even eliminate the need for a separate television in the room you are working in!

Great smart monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent UHD monitor with the ability to stream TV via multiple apps. It looks great on my desktop and complements my Apple Mini. It also includes an attractive camera which has only so-so resolution.

Exellent Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re not a hardcore gamer than GET THIS MONITOR!!!!!!! It has built in Xbox Gamepass for casual gamers such as myself. It also has all your favorite media apps such as YouTube, hbo Max, Netflix etc. ive seen a lot of reviewers talk about the os being laggy. Its not. You have to give the monitor a few secs to fully load up when turning it on and you’ll have no issues with that at all!also the picture is great. Black levers are great as well. Not Oled lever but still great. All in all. Buy this Monitor!!!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have one at work and one at home, I use them both for gaming with a PS5 and it's amazing.
