Purchased this Product from Best Buy it was described as in "Excellent Condition". Product was damaged vertical pixel line on the screen. I sent it to Samsung for diagnostic and repair. Monitor was deemed unrepairable. It has been 1 month and I have yet to receive the damaged monitor to return to Best Buy for a refund. Nor has Samsung honored there replacement warranty. As of now I am down 800 dollars with no monitor to show for it. Every Best Buy Representative I have spoken to in person and over the phone just shrugs there shoulders and says we cant help you without a monitor. SAVE YOUR MONEY! SAVE YOUR PEACE OF MIND! DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Shame on Best Buy for selling such a product that was deemed as unrepairable from Samsung and titling it in "Excellent Condition"

Rear right side plastic cover panel panel was broke loose from from tv snd unabke to put it back in place. The right side RGB light is also up iniside behind the LCD 4k sceen and unable to do anything about it. Right side RGB is just an empty whole. Styrofoam and packaging broke with pieces inside of box. This could’ve happened during shipping. When a consumer or anyone spends this much for a monitor you expect a little better. I JUST opened the box and I cant set it up. I read quite a bit of reviews before I bought this, and thought maybe it just a few with issues. So with thst said… I haven’t, and im not going to even try to set it upto see if it even works at this point. I wont buy anymore Samsung refrigerators, as I have been through 4 of them with issues with the ice makers freezing up. I have bought plenty of large screen tv and just bought six of them for one of ky restaurants. No problems with those, so I hoped that this would have been ok as well. I don’t usually write reviews, but this seem to be lackijg some serious quality control issues and made for maximum profit at foremost. I will film this right now while its still in the box and do a review, and get it up on Youtube and other social sites if this isn’t corrected. I will post the resolution after I deal with this and see if Best Buy and Samsung just make it right and provide me with a quality product that im paying for.

Received a cracked monitor for a” excellent “ condition monitor. The department who’s in charge of shipping open box items (Tennessee Best Buy at that) but they need to be fired this was unacceptable packaging for $1300 monitor I got for $500 so yes I’m p1ssed tf off. Has to settle for a g7. This ruined my day and broke my heart that was $800 saving.

I had many issues with Samsung monitors in a very short time. The G7 had dead pixels and the second one a lot of backlight bleed. But the G8 was the worst. The auto switch + didn’t function. First representative said it’s unavailable and the second said it’s broken. Whenever I turned on my second device, I had to turn on the monitor manually and change input. I expect from an expensive monitor that it functions. But the picture quality is concerning. It’s grainy, kind of you see the lines at 240Hz. I read that DP 1.4 can only handle 4K@120Hz. This must be a side effect of the compression. It just looks bad and not real 240Hz. Then I turned on my monitor and those lines appeared. Unfortunately Best Buy doesn’t have premium products and the knowledge to offer the right products. I have now the AW3423DW and the difference is huge. Unfortunately I had to buy it directly at Dell and I’m sitting on a Best Buy gift card. At least I have now real HDR and quality.

I dropped a buttload of money on this monitor only for it to spontaneously crack in half after 3 months of use??? Samsung will not do anything about this since it isn’t covered under warranty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This monitor was fantastic for the ~1.5 months that it worked! A dead zone appeared out of nowhere in less than a month and a half, and won't go away. As other have noted, the Neo series has some glaring QC issues, which is a major problem when this monitor is $1000+.

This is the best monitor I have ever used! It's that simple. I've used other 4K monitors before, but this one raises the bar in just about every way. In terms of refresh rate and brightness it's just awesome. Starting with the picture (which is why you would buy this monitor), the refresh rate at 240hz is simply stunning. Everything feels so smooth and even when using your mouse, you don't see any trailing and playing games at 240hz makes the game just feel like you are there with no tearing. Keep in mind that you'll need a decent graphics card to drive this monitor to it's full capability with most modern titles. Once pared with the right card, it's simply amazing and worth it. The mini-leds and local dimming on this monitor are just amazing. HDR works great and because of the mini-LEDs you can have zones that are black and right next to it brighter than bright which makes colors just pop! This monitor is already calibrated out of the box and only had to adjust brightness to my taste. The buttons on the bottom are super easy to use. This monitor's stand is adjustable and lets you rotate the monitor, which is certainly awesome to be able to do. There is cable management on the back and I love how this monitor hides the cords in the back so if nothing is behind it you have a nice uncluttered view of the back. The LED lighting on the back and front is really cool and will compliment your RGB setup nicely. It has picture in picture capability so you can have another video source added in a picture overlay. This monitor's performance is superb and it has an amazing picture. If you haven't tried HDR gaming at 240hz, you need to and this monitor sets the bar high and right now there's nothing out there quite like it. Having used it, I can say it's one I'd recommend for your desktop gaming setup. Even outside of gaming, this monitor is perfect, it's higher refresh rate is easier on your eyes and the picture is calibrated so colors are accurate and there is a pre-programmed sRGB setting.

The Samsung - Odyssey Neo G8 32" Mini LED Curved 4K UHD 240Hz 1ms FreeSync Premium Pro Gaming Monitor is an experience to be had. You really don't know what you're missing until you have tried it. If you want to spoil the gamer in your life (or yourself), this monitor is a strong contender. The 240 hz refresh rate is outstanding. The colors and graphics are crisp and vibrant. I have had zero issues with having the monitor on 240hz refresh rate and seeing any type of flaws or black lines in the picture. The 4K along with the curved screen make this monitor a thing of beauty. There is a sound port for your headphones. This monitor focuses of visual effects and sound is not a primary feature on this monitor, but it does have sound through the port/headphones like I mentioned. I will say that using it for work during the day has been very useful too. The 32" curved screen allows for multiple pages to be on the screen at one time for review (see picture). Additionally, when you're used to waiting a few seconds or more for all the pages to load and be viewable, this screen loads it up instantly, the lag is gone. SO if you want to justify splurging on such a fancy monitor, I can say it does perform great for the day-to-day things. The picture quality on Windows (and on the internet in general) are just as vibrant and fantastic. The monitor can be easily height adjusted, that was really cool. The whole monitor can also rotate from landscape to portrait position. This was the first time I'd seen that in a monitor. This is really useful when you're first learning the menu buttons on the underside of the monitor, simply flip it around and see exactly what you're looking at. The LED lights on the bottom slits up front and on the back in the center are a nice touch too. It sets the mood for some gaming! My one gripe is mainly for the hardware designers, the back panel cover (nit picky, I know). The back panel cover is flawed in my opinion because the space made available for your cables to come out of is on the top of the panel cover and not on the bottom. This means your plugs will plug-in in a vertical direction (up and down). However, with the cover fully in place, the plug will have to be bent in a U shape to then come back up and out the hole in the panel's top area. I never want to kink my cords. Who thought this was a good idea? My panel will remain left off the back and that's okay because it's facing the wall so no one will see it. There is a convenient strap toward the base of the stand that allows you to bundle all the cords together and run it smoothly down the back of the stand. I would recommend measuring where you want this monitor because it is a lot bigger than I pictured. Overall, I love it and I don't see needing another monitor for my gaming or work needs for a very long time.

Samsung is known for pushing the limits on technology and this monitor is no exception. You really have to have a powerhouse of a machine to even get close to playing games at the 4K, 240Hz, HDR that this monitor is capable of. So, it is a bit of an overkill for most current systems, but why not be ready for the future. This thing is huge. Due to the 1000R curve and the 32” size, this nearly reminded me of my old 19” Trinitron from back in the day. It is much bigger and heavier than your typical flat monitor, but once you get it on your desk it fills the space right in. The image on this thing is amazing. Colors are bright, contrast is great and when put side by side with my Samsung - Odyssey G5 27”, it kind of makes you notice the lack of color and contrast in it. What I thought was clearly white on my older monitor looks like it has a hint of blue in comparison to the bright crisp white on this Odyssey Neo G8. The curve on this monitor felt steep when setting it up, but while playing, it really fills your view. To make it even better, with the combination of the curve and anti-glare matte finish, it practically made the window light behind me vanish. On normal use this monitor really stands out. While testing it through some patterns it has some noticeable darkening in the corners. It’s not a deal breaker, but noticeable in solid color scenes. A feature not so common is the picture-in-picture which makes it like you have an extra monitor without taking up the desk space. Though, you do lose the viewsing space pending where you set the display. Overall, this monitor is more capable than pretty much everything out there if you want to be on the bleeding edge. If you have the machine to push it, or plan to get one in the near future, this is surely to meet the demand for a few years to come.

This is the second, and best, 32" curved monitor I have used. My previous experience was another popular brand and the Odyssey Neo G8 has topped it in every way. First, the 32" size is perfect for gaming. Any bigger and you find yourself having to turn your neck rather than just shifting your eyes. Any smaller and, in my opinion, you create a disadvantage for yourself in competitive online games. A wall mount bracket is provided if you want to go that route, but I used the base set-up. The included directions made it very easy to install the base and the cords are held neatly behind the mounting rod. Here are some of the other things I liked most... Pros: - Blacks and colors both look amazing whether you are playing your favorite games or watching 4k video content. This display is top-notch. 4k with a 240Hz refresh rate is something to behold. I was amazed at the rich and fluid experience compared to monitors I have used in the past. The difference is extremely noticeable. - The matte display helps eliminate glare and reflections - The onscreen menu was intuitive and easy to toggle popular options. The buttons are neatly tucked away underneath to keep the bezel looking sleek. - The curvature does its job, immersing you into the action. - The screen is easy to maneuver to the angle you prefer, requiring very little effort/force. Cons: - There aren't many monitor options more expensive than this one, but you get what you pay for. Those looking for a top-notch gaming experience have no need to look further if the Neo G8 fits within your budget. - To get the most out of such a high-end monitor, you'll want to ensure you are gaming on a system powerful enough to match it. Did I mention I love this monitor? Kudos, Samsung!

I have been using large monitors for office work and gaming. Samsung - Odyssey Neo G8 32" Mini LED is one of the best monitors I have ever owned. It came with a monitor, stand, power adapter, USB 3.0 cable, DisplayPort 1.4 cable, metal VESA mount adapter, and a removable rear trim panel. It was very easy to assemble the stand as per the instructions provided in the quick guide. It took only 15 mins to assemble the stand in the box. After the stand assembly, I connected the monitor with a power card and display port cable to my MacBook pro hub. It recognizes the monitor without any issues. The picture quality is outstanding in Odyssey Neo compared to the other 4K monitor I was using for work/gaming. The colors are deep and vibrant, and the gaming graphics are smooth as butter. It was 120hz by default which can be changed to 240hz in the settings. The Quantum Mini-LED with Quantum HDR2000 delivers exceptional picture quality and a superior gaming experience. I was using a flat panel 34” monitor before and now the curved screen in Odyssey Neo G8 is a totally different world of experience and 1000R curvature brings gaming worlds to reality.
