For years we used side by side units but this is actually a nice change. If you buy one you will not need the recommended installation kit if you already have an ice maker in your current unit.

What they call user's manual is an installation manual. Shelf space is insufficient for a gallon of milk or a bottle of wine with cork Who designed this interior? A real user's manual is needed

So far it does exactly what I expect a fridge to do, so I can't complain, and with luck, Samsung brand and such mean it'll last a long time!

I returned mine and got the basis top freezer and fridge on the bottom. Its roomy and the shelves are nice and I'm much happier with this model. Thank you BestBuy for helping me with the exchange.
