    Repair Nightmare

Purchased: 12/20/2024 Broke: 12/29/2025 (just out of warranty) Pros: - None worth mentioning given the issues Cons: - Failed just after warranty expired - Expensive and time-consuming repairs - Difficulty finding replacement parts - Poor customer service Review: I purchased this Samsung refrigerator for $1737, expecting a reliable appliance. Unfortunately, it broke down just days after the warranty expired, with the water and ice dispenser completely failing. The repair process was a nightmare: 1. PC Richard's warranty service was unhelpful 2. Local repair person couldn't source parts ($150 for diagnosis only) 3. Had to use Samsung's repair service, which took over a week to arrive Total repair costs: $587 (nearly 40% of the original price) - $120 for Samsung's service visit - $188 for parts - $95 for labor - Plus $150 for initial diagnosis The refrigerator was non-functional for almost 3 weeks, causing significant inconvenience. Given the high cost, premature failure, and difficult repair process, I cannot recommend Samsung refrigerators. The combination of poor reliability, challenging repairs, and expensive service makes this a regrettable purchase. I strongly advise against buying Samsung refrigerators. The potential for costly breakdowns and the hassle of repairs far outweigh any benefits of the appliance's features or design.
