Samsung 27.4 cu ft side by side refrigerator

Negatives: the ice maker is on the door without any insulation so it is very noisy. You get the extra interior shelf in the freezer but not worth the noise factor. Also the cube choice gives crushed with the cubes even though you didn't ask for crushed. The freezer shelf width is narrower that my old side by side. As to the refrigerator, neither the shelves on the interior nor the door are adjustable. So if you have tall items like a bottle of wine, it will not fit on the top shelf unless you remove the shelf, meaning you just lost shelf space. I had to put tall items on the door, and only 1 door shelf had enough height room. The bottom drawer is only a half drawer since the water filter is there instead of on the top shelf AND according the manual you have to shut your water off to change the filter, great..now I have to pull the fridge out or cut the water to the whole house to change a filter. Also, I had to return it for an exchange because the doors were not aligned properly. The space in between the doors was off, more at the top than the bottom AND it can not be adjusted left to right, only up and down on this side by side. The new one was better, not perfect, but i kept it. It was a factory error not best buy. Best Buy was very helpful. The exchange was made without issue and quickly. The delivery team very efficient and nice. So, if you like the look of this refrigerator and can deal with the oddities, then go for it. It works very well. Hope this helps.

Lots of space, I don't like the French door fridges with pull out freezer drawer so this was perfect. Only flaw.... no light in the ice/water dispensing area. Was kind of bewildered as I had older model refrigerators with the light feature to see how much your cup fills up but I guess that's just a first world problem.

The freezer was hardly ever of use in the French door models unless you wanted to unload everything first. This is an excellent product although the Ice/Water dispenser is more basic, maybe they won't break down as often. We are very happy with this particular model and color!
