The ice maker spit out chunks of PLASTIC the first time we used it. Called Samsung and they replaced it saying sorry this never happens. First basket of ice, PLASTIC! While waiting for them to come out and fix it again the entire ice maker froze up. They replaced this and again it immediately froze up. Even the tech that worked on it said this was the first refrigerator ever made. RUNNN!!! I begged for a new fridge and they insisted I get a fully new door, which I waited months for. Got the new door and here we are again, no ice and a frozen door. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!

Now the ice maker itself: it's absolutely the slowest I've maker out there. Approx. one set of cubes per day, if that. Then there's the issue that the ice repeatedly blocks up. After every single use I have to pull the ice tray out, first out the chute then sweap up all the ice that falls to the floor. It's a major pain in the backside. The freezer and refrigerator are ok but really small and not much lighting. I feeli paid too much for a unit with do many problems, it's really not worth it. Do a little research, read these comments and go by the ratings. DON'T PURCHASE THIS UNIT, you'll thank me later.

Please know that we value your feedback, and we will continue working on improving the quality of the products we offer.
The ice maker is capable of making 10 pounds of ice a day, it's only capable of holding 2 pounds of ice at a time. Once the ice bucket is full, the ice maker will stop.
