We recently moved home and installed all new appliances in the kitchen from Samsung including the 36" Range Hood in Stainless Steel. The hood really completes the look and feel of the kitchen and I really like that Samsung added Bluetooth connectivity although we unfortunately needed to remove the Wi-Fi module from the cooktop as due to an insufficient counter depth. The hood is extremely powerful and the lights are bright. It would have been five stars if there was an option to dim the lights but that doesn't appear to be possible.

Love the idea that it connects with cooktop. Very nice feature, the lighting is also great. Love the stainless steel look.

The Best Buy installers milled around the kitchen for a while before telling me they couldn't do it. They were right, the exhaust was too low. I had to cut a new one and fill the old one. Serious DIY pain. Once installed, it looks nice, moves a good amount of air and the lights are bright. Pretty much as described. Expensive, though.

Great hood, does a really good job of eliminating unwanted odors. Like feature of syncing to cooktop. Light is really bright so you can see food. Well built. Only issue I had was cleaning residue from protective plastic. I took about 2 hours to clean it all off.

This hood is both elegant and powerful. With the normal low / high setting it is not too loud. The High and Boost settings are loud but do what they are supposed to and have excellent power to get smoke out of your kitchen. Functionality is great and it is also a beautiful piece to any kitchen. This is one of the main parts features of our kitchen and we get compliments every time a new person comes in!

Have been operating his hood for about a month. It seems to be performing excellent and I love the features like it connecting with our cooktop so the fan comes on when a burner does. Great design and simple operation.

We are building a new house and was not real sure how it would it’s great, not loud and it works great. We vented to the outside works great!

Pretty loud vent, but it works. I don’t know how to connect it yet to my Samsung cooktop, can’t find it in the app, Careful when you touch the vent opening. They easily came off and fell on my induction cooktop. (Ack! Not covered by warranty or geek squad.)

This is matted with the 36" Cooktop. Pros: Easy to install. The fan is a bit noisy but has very good power. Works great for an 8ft or 9ft ceiling. Bluetooth connection to the cooktop is nice as it comes on and off automatically. Cons: the chimney is a bit flimsy but is fine once installed. The packaging is the worse, DO NOT OPEN WITH A BOX CUTTER!

Recently did a renovation and bought this Samsung vent to match with the rest of our Samsung products. It looks great and works well. Basically everything i asked for with a timer and light. I haven't tested out the bluetooth connection yet though as i haven't needed to use it. Highly recommended.

We bought an entirely new kitchen appliance set up from Samsung including this Hood. It is Sleek and beautiful. It's easy to keep clean, it illuminates our entire stove top and the fan does a terrific job of keeping our house smoking odor-free

This hood, by all accounts should cost half as much. Other similarly styled hoods with similar specs (cfm, etc) cost ~400. The only additional feature or spec is the gimmicky bluetooth connectivity which simply turns the fan on automatically when the stove turns on. We intended to mount this hood such that it vents out the back. No one at best buy, nor the 3rd party installer realized that this hood requires an adapter kit to vent out the rear. So, despite having had someone from the 3rd party come out ahead of time, the installers showed up without this part (I blame both companies) and so it could not be installed. The kit allows you to reposition the motor inside. Further, the installers tell me that unlike most every hood out there, this one vents out of the middle of the back, instead of closer to the top. Probably a difference of 4-6". Since we are replacing an existing hood and not doing a total gut of our kitchen, the vent duct and the hole in the hood do not line up. Best Buy still has not reached out to remedy the situation that happened 4 days ago. I plan on returning this hood and purchasing one that costs less, performs the same, and uses a more standard vent location.

Like the shape and the lines. It is not as noise as I expect from the others reviews. Good suction!

Looks really nice, works great. I like the overhead lights as well. I would definitely purchase this again if needed.

It’s has very strong suction and design is gorgeous!

This hood is connected in two ways. It is controllable via Wi-Fi (which is cool), but it is also connected via Bluetooth to the cooktop. This enables a feature to turn on the hood when the cooktop is used. Very cool.

The hood with the cooktop on looks great in my kitchen. The SmartThings app is a great way to connect and use this product. It’s quieter and more efficient than my older range hood

Purchased it to link up with stove top(not a great unit). I want the hood on when I or someone else cooks on the stove top. It does exactly that. Stove top turns on. Hood vent automatically turns on to low.
