I bought this monitor years ago and was told the curve was going to mess with my eyes. It never did. In fact I find the curve quite pleasant and it is just barely visible there even when the screen is less than 2-feet from you. As long as it's vertically aligned with your eyes your own eyes will remove the curve and make it appear to have a wider space to view. Now if you view the monitor straight from the top or bottom, yes, you can see the curve. But lit up and in normal use you'll barely know it is there.

Excellent Monitor
