It is as simple as flat screens get with an excellent picture. I highly suggest avoiding the bargain smart TVs. Look hard at getting this unit (or similar basic Sumsung) with a streaming device for a better viewing experience.

Great tv used as a electronic picture frame

Using a memory stick I loaded up all 8 - 10 K pictures and several short movies. So any time anyone wants to watch family pictures just turn on the tv. When not used as a tv to display pictures I mounted the tv in a home made picture frame and installed one way glass... thus functions as a mirror... The tv was perfect for this project...
