    Horrible Open-Box!

This was our first time purchasing an open-box TV and it was absolutely a waste of time and we would never do it again! The TV was missing a base and the remote to it. Didn't even bother turning it on as it probably wouldn't work either or if it did probably wouldn't have had any longevity. It states that the items are inspected but clearly they are not. We bought this TV as a gift and had return it and go through all the return process hassle. Clearly purchasing an open-box TV and trying to save a few dollars isn't worth it!

Ok at first 1-2 yrs then slowly it took forever for it to turn on. Checked cable got a new cable box same issue. By Christmas 2019 it would come on after 25-45 minutes. Now March 2020 won’t turn on at all. The power light is on but TV remote won’t do anything nor with cable remote. Manual on off button underneath tv does nothing. I still have analog TVs and a 24 in Visio that are 10 plus yes. Old that still work. TVs

So got this TV in the hopes of having a little bigger screen in our living room, which isn't the principal viewing area for TV in the house. Set it up out of the box and it worked fine for a few weeks, then, bam, dead. Just a few flickers when trying to power up the TV. Have contacted Samsung for support and service, but really don't feel like this should be required for a TV plugged into a surge protector since I got it and less than a month old.

Lots of clouding. Had to return the product twice. Settled with a bit of clouding. Couldn't test in store because store lights are too bright.

    ALMOST DID NOT BUY

I have a samsung 32 inch tv in the bedroom. I am so happy with it I wanted another Samsung. I almost did not buy this because of comments made in the negative reviews. I would like to address them. This is an energy star tv,so think of it this way,all settings are at low power to save energy. These were some of the reviewers complaints that almost stopped me- 1-Terrible volume, can not hear it. It has a built in equalizer, set to low(again energy saving) slide the bars over to a higher level. My tv goes 1-100 on volume, after adjustment i cant stand it over 25.Speakers sound good. 2- dim picture, 3 light settings, pick one 3-bad color-multiple saturation settings(energy) 4-This is my favorite. Samsung poorly enginered this product because I had to run to 3 different stores to buy an extra long screw driver to put this together. A standard length #2 screwdriver is what is needed 4 half inch screws hold the base together, then slide into back of tv, four more screws. Why would Samsung ship it this way?, so it can be hung on the wall without a base hanging from it,not to save shipping cost. 5. This tv does not have an earphone jack. This takes away the inexpensive option of adding a cheap set of computer speakers for those of us not wanting mega bass, knock the neighbors picture off the wall, heart stopping volume. 6. This tv is so complicated To adjust we hate it. I am technically challenged due to my generation and have not had a problem. Maybe this tv is not the greatest.Six years ago I bought the same size in 720p and paid 800 dollars. Is it perfect?,no. Price, size, resolution, picture quality,my budget, best purchase I ever made.

After using the TV for one month the picture has gone out. We can hear all of the sound and can see a faint image when we shine a flashlight on the screen. We are returning the item to the store today in hopes of a replacement or refund. These things happen, now it is up to customer service to determine if we remain Best Buy customers. I am very optimistic.

I purchased Samsung and Sony devices and paid a lot of money to have the geek squad install everything. I now have 4 remotes. It often takes 20 minutes or more to get my devices to work together but often times I just give up in frustration! Now, I can't even get my Sony blurray to turn on! I consider everything I bought from Best Buy as Junk. Telling everyone I know, too.

Over all I'm quite happy with this tv. I did have to change the tv settings to get a better picture. I have also noticed that viewing this tv from an angle makes for a very fuzzy and blurry picture. Just something to be aware of. I would recommend this tv to potential buyers.

Bought this through internet, great deal, great shopping experience. Can't believe what an EASY, no fail, super deal I got. Went to many sites and Best Buy had the best deals. Went to pick up within an hour after paying. Best TV ever! Perfect size, color, picture for master. Easy set up, for us challenged with tech, we were amazed. Pick up was a charm. They loaded into our car for us. Samsung TV"s are a no brainer, Now Best Buy is also, for us. Thanks for a great shopping experience from home.

    Great TV for the money!

First, I would like to praise Best Buy customer service. I actually ordered an open box version of this TV for pickup in a local store. Once I received the email stating it was ready, I arrived at the store to a very long wait. Apparently they didn't actually have an open-box item available so were confused. The wait was due to them getting permission to give me a brand new TV instead. Well worth it! Now, to the TV itself: I am very happy with the picture quality. It doesn't have a lot of features, but enough to make it enjoyable. It does remember aspect settings for different resolutions on DTV over-the-air channels, which is nice. Images in HD are crisp and clear, with good contrast and brightness, and no noticeable blurring on action scenes. I can't comment on sound as we use a soundbar over optical cable, so haven't even tried the onboard speakers. Inputs are limited, with only 2 HDMI ports, coax cable/antenna input, and HD/AV RCA inputs. Was surprised to find it had optical audio out, and that is a nice touch for connecting to a soundbar or audio system. It's obviously a budget TV in its feature-set, and taking that into account, I am very pleased with this purchase. Samsung makes some of the best LED screens out there, so was glad to find this one that fit in my budget.

Was eyeballing this for several weeks. Listened to the recommendations to wait until after the second week of December to buy. Paid off, got it for $100 less and so far am not sorry. Great bedroom TV. Picture is great, sound is decent and easy to set up. Beats the heck out of the 32 inch Dynex I had (which is actually going outside onto my porch). Actually paid more for the Dynex back in the day. Samsung has been my product of choice as I now own four of them. That should tell you something!!

    Good Master Bedroom Television

When we updated our old 720 p 40" in the living room with a larger set, we moved the old set into our bedroom. Because of its old design, it's way too big for that application. This new set is much smaller, lighter weight, and far better picture at less than 1/4 the price of the old 40". They keep getting ing better for less money. This is just the right size for the room. Samsung seems to be great. 1080 p format is great. Can't see the expens for 4HUD or 3D.

Hopefully the wrong TV got put in the box which shows 1080p. I plan to go to Best But tomorrow and resolve the issue. Under TV setting for output resolution, the maximum available is 1080i.
