Very good price point. We watch this from 16 feet away-screen clear & beautiful. I like the simple control. Very easy to set up (PLEASE just be sure your batteries are inserted into your zapper correctly!-sheer stupidity on our part was the only reason this took us more than a few minutes!)

This is an excellent t.v. for the price. I wanted a smart t.v. for our extra room and this is perfect. I don't mind waiting 30 seconds for it pick up the internet connection to get my Netflix. I think our society is getting a bit out of hand regarding immediate gratification when a few second wait for an upload puts someone's knickers in a twist. Just remember there was a time, not so long ago, people had to wait for the 'tubes' to warm up to get their 3 channels, and it wasn't even in color. We've come a long way baby!

Gave this as a gift and it's broke Unbelievable that you buy something of high quality n think that's what you'll give to someone on Christmas day and th it's junk

This TV hurts my eyes. The picture seems over exposed, and people have a blue hue. Adjusting the color can make people either purple or green.

Both HDMIs went on my less than 6 month old tv and the manufacturer refused to fix. Said that HDNIs are not covered under warranty.

This is a pretty decent TV for the price. The picture quality is there, but the viewing angle is only satisfactory. I'd also like to see 3-4 HDMI ports instead of just 2, but at this price point 2 is common.

I REALLY researched 40" TVs before I actually went through with a purchase... and this TV did not disappoint in the least! I knew I didn't want a SMART tv- just a really nice quality flat screen tv and this one did the job. Samsung has amazing quality in all of their products so this was a no-brainer. Great sound, SUPER clear picture. What else could you want? Installation of the TV stand was easy and set-up also super easy. If you want a tv that is great quality (minus all the bells and whistles a SMART tv has) THIS is your TV. and HOLY FAST SHIPPING! I ordered this at 12pm. It was in my house by 4pm the next day!

I bought this tv during the black Friday sale. The picture looks great and have had no problems with it. Set up was easy. Have a sony bluray player hooked up to it and blurays look good. This is the main tv I use in my house now.

We did not watch much. It's broken during the pandemic

I got it for my cousin how lives right across the street from me. It has a great picture and very ease to use . made a few adjustments on it and he loves it.

I bought one of these, really liked it, and then three weeks later bought another one in the exact same size! You can't beat Samsung for quality. It's easy to set up, and very straightforward. No additional bells and whistles which is what I wanted. We want to watch TV, not reinvent the wheel! The picture and sound are amazing! Also, it has the stand that is one piece and easily attaches to the set on the center back side(as opposed to the "legs" which we didn't want because the TV stands we have would not accommodate the latter). I would highly recommend this TV!

Had to replace the TV twice in one year not sure what's wrong with this model

Got this on sale a couple of months ago for my future bedroom setup. While I haven't had a chance to get that done yet, I gave the television a test run in my living room. Picture quality is excellent, and the tv is big enough that I will be able to watch it comfortably from my bed once setup is complete. My only complaint is that the tv tilts up when mounted on it's base, but that's nothing a little furniture leg padding won't take care of.

I order in online, when my brother opened it Christmas day, the screen was cracked.

Was upgrading from a 32" Samsung. This fit the bill perfectly, it's not a SMART TV so doesn't have all the apps built in, but if you have a game console, like the Xbox One or PS4, or a Fire Stick or Chromecast, there's really no need for that built into the TV anyway. The picture is sharp and the adjustments to get it just right for your room are pretty straightforward. Did have to adjust my cable box to 1080i though to get the best out of the TV, many of these Comcast boxes are set 720 as the default I guess? Never noticed it until I got this TV!

I brought this TV as a Christmas Gift to my children. They really love their TV's, as it is an upgrade from their old TV which was 23". My son who is 5 years old know how to navigate through the channels well, as well as the input and hdmi options to play his video games. Overall, this made my kids Christmas even more special, as they all woke up to their very own new TV to watch. I would recommend for parents and children, as I have mine mounted on the wall and entertainment stands. Very child friendly!

I purchased two of these Samsung tv's when they were on sale. One for my rec room and the other for my living room. The picture, color, and sound are amazing! It was extremely easy to set up on the base and connect. I don't need the SMART tv fuctions. I am more concerned about picture quality and sound. I highly recommend this Samsung! Consumer Reports rates Samsung as their #1 tv manufacturer. You can't go wrong!

Great picture. Easy to set up. Good value. I would recommend this for a basic TV.
