Not the best TV samsung makes, but is definitely good for the price. I bought it for the guest bedroom and it works / looks great!

Very happy with the TV. Sales staff have No clue I went to Bestbuy to buy this TV, I asked what connections were on the back of the Tv The salesman had no clue, he went to look up on PC, but still could not understand what the TV had for connections. He said he will get another sales person.Second sales person came,asked do you need help, I said yes, and asked what connections were on back TV. He said I will have to get another sales person to help you. 3rd sales person came and proceeded to tell me that he only makes $10. HR and has no clue on what the connections are on the TV. BESTBUY YOU NEED BETTER SALES PEOPLE

I purchased this TV just a year and half ago in November of 2013. Tried to turn it on this morning, and NO PICTURE, only sound. The connections are all fine, and I tried the flash light trick, so can view vaguely with the flashlight. After reviewing posts I see that its not uncommon based on regular frequent use for the backlight to go out. I saw one gentleman note his lasted just over a year , and another note under 6 months. The manufacturers warranty is 12 months so a lot of us will have to cover repairs directly or get another tv at this cost if the repair cost isn't worth it.. The cons of these new TVs. Was not expecting to have to do repair or replacement under two years. The Pros of the older TVs that last years and not having to do repairs EVER by far now I see are still the best options for Tv purchases. My older Flat screen TV is still working yearsssssss later. Moving on...

I wanted a larger screen for my living room in my apartment, and this TV fit the bill. The quality is really awesome, and the features are easy to use. I coupled this with a Samsung sound bar -- instant hookup, and I am really pleased with my living room setup. Great TV -- and really good investment!

I bought this tv for my family and they loved the color, picture, sound, screen, etc awesome buy.

This is a very good TV.One caveat,don"t order online,mine came with a broken screen,but my local Best Buy store swapped for a different one,same model and we are very pleased.Now if I can only figure out how to use my Optimum remote for the volume instead of my Samson remote.

Good buy as a secondary or bedroom TV. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles but still worth it.

Awesome picture and sound for a LED HDTV. Still trying to figure out other features and if it can work with a wireless adapter.

For just over $200 I went from a generic 24" screen to this massive 40" Samsung display. The picture is great and the stock speakers fill the room. I am one who doesn't mind messing with the menus and options until I find the right colors and display quality but really all that I found was setting the screen to dynamic and having the speakers on the "music" mode, it was just how I liked it. I like how the build is clean looking and will fit in any kind of room. This will sound extremely nit-picky but I was scared that I was going to break the power connection in the back of the TV when plugging the power cord in because of how flimsy the connections are. I also found the HDMI connections and the component connections to be really loose inside the back case of the TV. That's not much of an issue if you plug things in and leave it.

This is not a "smart TV" but who needs one when they already have chromecast? So I only needed a dumb LED TV with a great picture and sound. This ranks a 5 out of 5 in both categories.

This tv is amazing! The picture quality is amazing. All I watch is blu-Ray movies and HD movies on xfinity. This tv has such a great picture its unbelievable! We have another larger screen Samsung tv we paid a lot of money for and this one was a fraction of the price and has a better picture! Also the sound this tv is so clear, crisp and loud! I can't believe all the power that comes out of this slim tv. I also have a Samsung blu ray player and everything works together without even programming. This means I can use the Samsung blu Ray player remote to control everything including powering up and down my tv and volume and still control the blu-Ray player, no questions asked. It's really great! We have many large newer TVs in the house 8 in all. This one is my new favorite and set up.

Excellent blues, geens, dolby sound too. It was packed with no remote or power cord, I called immediately and the items were sent out that day. It keeps up with sports for 60Hz. I was watching the Rio Olympics, swimming pool looked great, greens during gymnastics really pop. I cranked up the sound to 85, since it was an open box, no distortion. I feel I bought a quality product. I read surveys for a month before purchase- tv keeps going up in price, HUH, an appeciating tv set!? Its true for this one.

Samsumg makes the best HDTV per dollar value. High quality!

Hard to find a larger TV these days that is not a smart TV. I did not want a smart TV. I just needed a television I could connect to my desktop to use in my bedroom. I am stuck in the bed a lot due to health issues and can not sit at a desk anymore. I needed to be able to use my computer from the bed and watch TV via cable or online. This TV is just the right size for my bedroom which is a large room. Picture and sound quality are very good with easy to adjust settings that allow you to adjust things to your taste. I purchased in July 2015 and have been extreamly satisfied with my purchase. Super great price for this nice so called dumb set as friends call it. Connect your Xboxes, Rokus, computers ect. and it's smart plus IMO and YOU control it! No being stuck with a bunch of useless aps that you don't want, need or are no longer supported and have stopped working. You can get all that stuff and more by just connecting a device anyway.

I love Samsung TV's. Easy to set up and use. Picture and sound quality is good. I like the sport mode. Color is vivid and sound you think you where in the stadium. I own two Samsung TV's. I'm very happy!!!!
