I was quite in a rush looking for a 40 inch 1080p TV for my new home, since Insignia, Vizio and Sharp's similar ones are all out of stock, I have to take the only left over. The picture quality of this TV is average, not too good and not too bad. The mechanic design of this TV is totally BS, you have to install 8 screws just to make the TV stands; what makes it even worse is two of the screws needs a very long screw driver, my 18V drill doesn't work, my screen driver bought from IKEA isn't long enough, I rushed to a nearby target and bought one but still not long enough, in the end I have to drive to a Harbor freight to get a quite long screw driver only for installing the TV stand. Samsung's Mechanical engineering should really go back to school. The closed captioning font of this TV is even more weird, there are several weird fonts included which I bet no body would ever want to try; the biggest problem is there is no option to adjust the spaces between characters. The spaces between the characters are ridiculously wide. The included remote's design perfectly illustrated the word "poor", the useful keys scrambled on the remote which is quite a mess. Based on the average picture quality, poor mechanic design, poor firmware , and cheap feeling remote, I have to give it a 1-star.

Good quality screen as you would expect from samsung. Design is sleek. I really like the remote. It says analog audio out (this is best buy's fault not samsung). It only has optical out. Only an issue if using with speakers or headphones. Tv audio is fine for tv, just a long way from "immersive" if you're into movies. ***Why I wrote this review*** There is an option for using external speakers within tv menu. This silences the tvs speakers while still enabling audio out. It also disables the volume adjustment and mute features of the remote. If I want to mute the horrible commercial jingle that comes on while watching football, I have to stand up and walk up to my speakers to adjust like the 1950s. Obviously this isn't a problem with an av receiver, but if I had money for a receiver (poor because in college), I would also have a 60 inch 4k tv.

This TV was fine until the picture went out after only 18 months. I'm wishing I had splurged on the extended warranty. Instead now I'm looking at replacement cost. I expected more from Samsung. Very disappointed.

In the last 2 weeks I have returned 2 of this model to Best Buy because it would turn on by itself. I have no complaint with Best Buy because there return policy is 2nd to none. I got an LG TV the 3rd time I went in and now I am taking it back because of problems with the aspect ratio.

Black screen with no picture a few months after the warranty expired. After doing some online research I found that this issue is very common with Samsung LED TV's.

You have to be sitting directly in front of this TV or the colors fade...wash out. Step to the side 20 degrees and a tan face turns to a pasty unhealthy looking white. I had it shipped to the Bahamas. I'd have returned it but it'll cost me more than I paid for it.

I love this TV, but got it last Nov. and it was $100 less than it is now[$249]. If you can wait, do it, but it really is well worth the $349 if you really need a TV now.

Needed a TV since old 32 inch died. Read reviews on line and went to look at in the store. Excellent TV. Only problem is getting rid of the old TV in Pennsylvania.

The picture became foggy with multiple lines of color in it. While it was still under warranty, Samsung refused to fix and falsely accused us of hitting/ impacting screen.

The TV is great other than the fact that it takes. VERY long time to connect to Netflix which my daughter HATES this TV is in her room so it is kind of bothersome. Other than that we love it.
