My husband I mainly bought this TV so that we could stream Netflix without having to hook up any other devices. However, as some previous reviewers have mentioned, we had difficulty with the sound cutting in and out which makes the Netflix app impossible to use. We have tried several things to fix the problem to no avail. I don't believe we had such a problem with YouTube. This basically defeats the whole purpose of the TV. The browser is also next to impossible to use as it kept refreshing and losing our page. The browser completely shut down when we tried to adjust the volume. Everything lags a TON so you never know if it is actually working or not. I think my husband wants to keep the TV because we would be paying just as much for a non-smart TV, but I don't see the point given that it doesn't function.

For me this TV takes as average. Picture and sound quality are just ok.
If you are looking for a second or third TV for a small office or kitchen/ dining area to stay up with score, this would be a good one for the price. i would not recommend as a primary TV.

Will NEVER buy this tv again. I had it since Dec 4th, gave it to my BF for Christmas and a few weeks ago, the screen kept going on and off randomly and tonight, IT WONT STOP DOING IT! On, off, on, off...over and over! What a piece of trash.

I purchased this set for 1080 resolution. I made it clear I would be using an antenna for over the air. When I am lucky I get 1 or 2 channels and the picture sometimes. If it is raining or overcast no picture at all.

Picture is great & connection options are good. But the "smart" part is terrible. Loading Hulu or Netflix sometimes takes 15 attempts, the built in web browser is super slow and clunky. TV is not compatible with the Samsung app so no using your phone as a remote. I should have gotten a regular TV and a new roku box or gone with a different brand that uses roku . Samsung's smart platform is really lousy.

I loved everything about this TV for 2 whole years. At almost exactly to the day, my screen went black. There was sound for awhile, then nothing. I have tried it in other rooms, but nothing.I have been searching on line and looks like a common thing for these TV's. It will cost as much to repair as to buy a new TV. We recently bought a larger Samsung for Christmas.So that makes 2 Samsung's we own. I'm crossing my fingers it will last more than 2 years.

I purchased this TV from Best Buy in July 2016, but a little over two weeks later a green line appeared across the screen. The Best Buy return period had lapsed and dealing with Samsung Customer Service has been a nightmare. Over two months have passed, and the TV has more lines appearing across the screen, and now the sound disappears after using it for 30 minutes.
Before the TV became completely defective, I noticed the start up time was very slow and there is a lag between the remote and the screen's response. Overall, this TV has been a major disappointment and waste of money.

I've owned Samsung televisions for about 10 years and have never had a problem with the product or the service. I decided I wanted to upgrade to a bigger (smart) tv so two weeks ago, I purchased this tv. After only two weeks, the audio cuts out every time about 20min into using the smart hub apps. Spoke with FOUR different reps at Samsung, who were NO HELP AT ALL! Will be contacting Best Buy for a return/exchange.

Bought this TV on a Thursday night. Brought it back Saturday morning. Save yourself the time & look at other models & save yourself the hassle of a return.
2 main things to know about this TV:
1) Sound is very tinny and hollow
2) Picture "whites out" as soon as you step left or right to view picture at an angle (a sign of old technology).
No amount of fiddling with the settings will improve the picture or sound. The picture result is extremely hard on the eyes.
Splurge the extra bucks to upgrade. Bought an LG instead. Very happy now.

I bought this tv mainly for my kids to watch netflix cartoons, but what i've noticed is that the netflix app has a flaw, i cannot find a way to play movies from beginning, it always plays them where they left off! Everytime i have to either fast forward or rewind back to the beginning! I contacted Samsung, but no help there, i wanted to update the firmware on the tv but the one on the tv is newer than whats on samsungs web site, so i dont know, how smart of a tv is this?? Do i have to continue using my Wii to enjoy netflix?

Tv won't turn back on. First it was on standby meaning the redlight was on then you had to wait switch for it be back on. The capacitors are defective they will blow out on you. Samsung is aware of this problem yet they don't care because your television will pass it's warranty when it does blow out. Don't waste your money stay away from Samsung products. If you are still in the time frame of warranty return it immediately. Any clicking and automatically shutting off your capacitor is ready to blow.

I must say that this is the worst TV I ever have had.
The Picture quality is just avg. we started to notice some color issues after a couple of months but a quick restart would fix the issue (for a few weeks or months).
But the most terrible feature is the smartTV Apps. The response time is terribly slow. If you are looking for a smart TV and wanna use the smart Apps like Netflix or Youtube etc., don't buy this TV. From that aspect, it doesn't deserve even hundred bucks.

Worst Buy Ever!

All I had with this television was issues, the HDMI port quit working then the internet completely quit working and then the television started turning off by itself and wouldn't turn back on. I'm really happy though that I got my money back even though it was bought last fall. I won't ever buy anything from Samsung again.
