I believe most of these tvs are defective. The floor model apparently had the same problem mines has. There is a white line at each edge of the screen. And there is a black ripple effect at the bottom of the screen. Stay away from this product.

I was looking for a TV for my bedroom when i found this gem. Samsung 4K AND with High Dynamic Range for under (on sale) $500?!! So i went home to read some reviews and picked it up the next day. EASILY the best bang for your buck that you will find. It is very thin and compact, and the picture is fantastic!! the colors are just so vibrant and amazing!! watching 4K videos on Youtube with the smart feature blows my mind! with this price you CANNOT GO WRONG!!

    An Okay TV

My old had finally gone out after 10 years so I had to get a new one. Unfortunately due to the limited space that I have I could only get something 40" or smaller. Out of the box the TV is horrible, you need to set it up right otherwise it is blurry and stutters a lot. After fiddling with the settings A LOT I got it to the point where it was bearable. Once it was set up things looked great however if you are still using a standard cable box it's not going to look good because of the upscaling it has to do. If you have a HD source and it can output 60hz or higher then great! At 30hz you will notice a stutter watching movies and such.

So far so good. Haven't had the chance to see how the picture looks in 4K yet though. My only complaint is Samsung dropped the ball with the remote. If something isn't broken, don't try to fix it.

I have always had Samsung products since the Samsung GX TV 19" game station all the way till 1080p full HD 120hrt 40" series 6. Now it was time for 4K. I bought the JU6500 and it had backlight bleeding and returned it. It may have been defective but I chose to wait and order the KU7000 and I couldn't be happier. The best color and screen refresh rate I've seen on a 40". By far the BEST TV you can get for your gaming needs and a wonderful smart setup that will blow you away. So much 4K content and an elegant remote that made me scratch my head when I saw the , lack of, buttons. It's voice recognition is a blast as well. My games look better with the upscalng without compromising the contrast or refresh rate. Absolutely no screen blur. I would recommend this tv to any gamer and NON gamer. It seams to have everything a tv should need for the next gen. Great job Samsung And Best Buy for carrying his amazing TV

    Great Picture on HDMI 1

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The TV picture is amazing with UHD color on for HDMI input number 1. However, if you plan on using HDMI inputs 2 or 3 for 4K content, you can not set UHD color on those ports. I found this out from Samsung support. You will seeing a darker, less quality picture, than you can get on HDMI1. Optical output is also not fixed. If using a sound bar, you will need to fiddle with the TV and soundbar volumes until it suits your taste. Other than that it's a good TV

Fulfills all Xbox One S Requirements.... However..

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Good News and bad news situation. Good News: This TV does support all the required bit rates for your Xbox One S. However; be sure you apply the correct settings in your TVs video settings to allow this to work correctly. Also BE SURE to plug this into the HDMI 1 port. This port is 2.0 and will allow the HDR functionality. None of the other ports will work properly. Bad News: I bought this TV to game on for the most part, and I must say there is some really bad response time and a lot of ghosting with moving around in fast games. There is also some screen tearing issues that I noticed. Unfortunately there are not many 4K MONITORS on the market that are reasonably priced to provide better gaming performance, and have HDR etc. I would recommend not using this on a desk and make sure you sit a decent distance away from this TV as the up-scaling on most games is a bit distorting with this panel. I recommend possibly spending more on a different display, or maybe waiting on a decently priced 4K monitor to hit the market that has HDR. This TV fulfills all the requirements, but lacks in overall gaming performance.

    Nice upgrade from LCD...

This TV is amazing, the bezel is super thin that I was able to fit it where I previous had a 32inch TV. I can't go bigger because of limited space in my room. The remote is small, simple but complete. The picture is amazing makes my PS3 games look better than before. Starts up quicker than my old 1080p LCD TV and the smart features are great and I did not have to buy an Apple TV or Roku this almost has it all. Colors look good and no blacklight bleeding or anything. This TV and the PS4 pro are the perfect couple. Sale price was right on time too!

    Perfect TV for bedroom

I bought this TV for my bedroom and it is perfect. I was afraid it would be too small at first, but once it is set up and on, it's great! Quality is fantastic and it was easy to setup as well. Very sharp picture and sound isn't bad either for TV speakers. The Smart features are great, everything you need already comes with the TV like Netflix, HULU, games, apps, etc. Great purchase!

I bought this to use in my Bedroom and I am VERY Happy with it so far over the past month its been great. the picture is very clear and sharp the sound is much better then my old 32" or 27" TVs and it has a lot of bass for a thin TV. the Wifi and Cat5 Connections both worked as intended with little set up. Multi cast and Home Network sharing work well and allow me to see/access other PCs on my network with my TV. The Voice Command is FANTSASTIC responds faster than anticipated. its the same with loading Apps so far the only real issue I have had was it tends to lose network settings some times as well as lose of connection to internet with some apps even though its still connected (Hulu+ is bad about it) though closing the App and restarting usually corrects the issue. The only other problem I have had is that its almost to Big to have mounted next to my Bed. I feel it was well worth the $550 I paid even if I had to buy the extended warr to get a reasonable amount of time (1 yr shouldn't be standard for a TV like this, at this price). All in All its a very nice TV and well worth the price.

    Good TV for the price

I have enjoyed this TV. Some of the features are difficult to find using the remote and the remote is not very intuitive to use. Sometimes the remote does not sync with the TV either. But the TV itself is sharp and clear with good sound (I do not use surround sound). Everyone who has come to my house and watched it has commented on the picture and noticed it was different from my previous TV ("oh, you must have a new tv) - it is noticeable to them. And my last tv cost about $1000 and this one was about $700, so obviously technology has improved! I also like that it is much lighter and less bulky than my old flat screen tv.

    Good but...

Basic TV is fine but there are a few areas that are really bad. The goods: Quality Price Setup The bads: Support Remote - tiny and unusable in low light. In these days of back-lit remotes, why? Voice - try finding a list of commands. Contacted support repeatedly to no avail. Bluetooth keyboard support - Thought I would try this after being disappointed in the remote. Do not waste your time. Again, contacted support for guidance and after repeated contacts finally found out it really doesn't work well at all.

The side view of the product is inaccurate

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First the good: the UI and the remote are excellent. Much smoother and intuitive than Sony's - clearly, Samsung's background in great mobile devices has paid off. Now for the bad: If you want to use this for a desk monitor, you're going to have to put up with 8-12" of wasted space behind the monitor due to the awkward stand. It looks great from the front, not much different than the 6000 series then. I was sold initially from the side profile stock photo of product which appears thin. In person, it's bulkier. The stand is ugly, very square and bulky from the side and from the rear. Only use this if you're stashing it against a wall or cave. If you use the monitor on a desk where the back is exposed, it is a sloppy execution, with the HDMI cables protruding from the side, looks dated, not sleek. And the power cable is also bulky exiting from the middle of the monitor, leading to a disastrous desktop aesthetic. The 7000 series isn't an upgrade form factor or image (the "HDR" is not really HDR like the SUHD line of Samsung's and to boot: the Vizio E-Series which in comparison is larger (43" about the max size for a desktop monitor up close) and cheaper by about $300-400.
