Better than my Sony!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this mainly as a smaller display for my bedroom to hook up my PC to and now I am considering getting rid of my Sony 4k TV. In terms of what you're paying for--$329 in my case--this deal cannot be beat! I love the functionality and simple smart user interface. Compared to Sony, this interface is so much nicer to run and switch between apps. The only other TV manufacturer who may have Samsung beat in terms of smart tv apps would be LG, but not by much. The colors are very vivid and pleasing to the eyes and the ability to upscale content that might be 1080 or even 360 is wonderful. I was able to plug in my old Xbox to play some Halo, and the screen automatically upscaled the image to full screen and I noticed a difference in color and clarity compared to older HDTVs of my past. Pick this up when you get the chance, because I have a feeling by Black Friday they might become impossible to find when word gets out about this model. Kudos to you, Samsung! This is my first 4k TV with them and I will certainly be looking for another one in the future because of this experience.

Great tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great purchase for anyone seeking a good quality 4K tv at friendly price . To clear up spec questions for people , this tv is : 10bit , 120 motion rate ( which translates to 60hz frame rate), and has HDR ( there's a HDR+ function that can be enabled to enhance lower quality feeds for standard definition, but the tv itself has true HDR and the HDR+ function doesn't need to be on). Picture quality is amazing , the 10bit really brings out the beautiful colors on 4K Netflix streams and 4K DVDs. HDR really helps contrast the different color palletes. I also use it with my Xbox One S and looks even better . Apps run great on the tv, only wish they had the WatchESPN app in their App selection . To enjoy 4K streams on Netflix , make sure you have the premium $12/month membership and an Internet connection of atleast 25mbps. I highly recommended a TV with HDR like this one . Netflix and Amazon etc are making it a point to roll out content that is HDR compatible . Highly recommend this product to anyone , if you want a bigger screen just jump to the 50+ inch .

What the difference...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned the $449 model for the $299 model and I can now tell the difference... The picture and sound seem to be exactly the same The remote on the $449. model is "universal" and will control the TV, cable / satellite box, roku, etc. The $299 remote only controls the TV The $449 TV has bluetooth so you can connect an external speaker or headphones, The $299. model doesn't have bluetooth The $449 model shows the dish logo if you have a hopper. The $299 model just says "dish" if you manually set it to say that. Other than that, the sets seems to be identical.

great tv but ..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.as like the ku6300 this tv is an excellent intro 4k tv.. picture quality is great and no complaints for the price. but... the interpolation isnt the best and judder is noticeable when watching movies. another con is the fact that it does not feature hdr10 support which limits how well the xbox one s picture quality can be along with some others. 60hz refresh rate is low especially if using as a pc monitor for pc gaming. verdict : its an awesome picture and great tv for the price so if you have a bit older tv or this is the disired price range its a great pic. If your interested in it for high res gaming or watch nothing but movies i would go with a 120hz unit as lack of hdr10 support and the interpolation issues with movies is quite annoying.

Excellent TV for the Price!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this UHD TV to replace my 4 year old Hiar 1080p TV. It served as my computer screen the entire time. Due to my lack of finances to afford a 4K computer monitor, I coughed up the $299.99 + tax & bought this Samsung 4K UHD TV. First impressions were that the picture quality is phenomenal. I loaded up YouTube, Netflix & Amazon Prime Video, all of which are apps included within the Smart TV, & I was able to play 4K content from all the popular streaming apps. I still may get a Google Chromecast Ultra though due to it being optimized more. Regardless I am in love with the visual experience I get from this TV. I didn't want a larger 4K TV since my face is usually within 3ft of the TV. This being 4K in a 40" package keeps the PPI higher than all the larger TVs which allows for a crisper image when viewing so closely. So the actual viewing experience is great... how about audio? This TV has two downward facing 10W speakers with a bass reflex. The sound that comes out is better than any other HD TV I have ever owned in the past. Mids & Highs are decent with an appropriate amount of bass to keep the audio from sounding tinny. The audio isn't mind blowingly awesome though. I may buy a soundbar in the future to improve audio a bit... but for now the built in speaker will suffice. If you can find this TV for less than $350 I'd say buy it.

BEST $300 I've ever spent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a lil apprehensive buying a tv online without seeing it first in a show room or something. But $299, smart tv, that's 4K & made by Samsung!! I was 100% in and it didn't disappoint. It's what I'd image an Apple TV to be like. The 4K streaming from Netflix is so ridiculously clear it brought tears to my eyes. If u got an extra $350 n wanna upgrade ur tv. Get this one!!

Nice TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart TV and overall I am very pleased at this price point (about $300 on sale). The picture is good, sound is not bad, and the menu is easy to navigate. My main complaint is that the apps sometimes fail to load and I have to power cycle the TV via the power plug to get them to work. HBO GO seems to be the most glitchy of the apps I use. I am not sure if this is due to the TV or the app developer, but 5 starts if not for this minor inconvenience.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture. Easy connection hookup with HDMI cable (not supplied) from cable box to TV. Everything worked including existing AV receiver with surround sound & subwoofer. Small screws supplied to assemble desktop mounting base stand tend to strip out heads unless exact size screwdriver is used & you've got the strength to drive them in. Better method is to use a ratchet wrench with screw driver bit so you can exert enough leverage to easily tighten them down. Some review comments here about poor sounding tv speakers but I thought they sounded pretty good. Take the time to view every picture mode so you can select the one you like best, there IS a difference, don't accept the default mode until you've looked at them all. All in all, an excellent tv, whish I had purchased one earlier.
