Awesome 4k tv but no external apps added
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome 4K TV. picture Clarity is amazing !!!! motion rate capability is through the roof, but you're not able to download external apps. that is the only con with the TV. so if you have a cable box or a satellite provider it's going to look amazing!

Good picture and very good as PC monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want a budget large 4k monitor for my laptop. I bought this Samsung 4K TV after I returned a slightly lower priced Toshiba 43" 4K TV. It synced to 4K@30Hz with my laptop in my case. The fine lines, colors and details all look great on this large monitor. I am not a gamer so I cannot speak much about gaming experience on the monitor. Have not notice anything wrong so far after a day of use. This TV is an entry level 4K TV and lacks a few advanced features, which I do not need so it is not a problem to me. Probably why it is cheaper, and in that sense, it is in fact better for me.

Video and sound is great.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for a guest bedroom. It's more than I expected for the price. It's thick but I placed it in a corner so that was not an issue with me.

UN40KU6290FXZA vs UN40KU6300FXZA
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One should do a comparison between the two models and make sure the number of ports (like usb) and audio connections are within the range of your current and future needs. My current Samsung is a 40 In HD 120 motion backlit LED and it is and had been excellent. I have all my gear ( TV, DVR, Cable box, wireless router) on a 540 Watt UPS to protect them from power grid issues like brownouts and spike.. (highly recommended) ... The 6290FXZA is a really good choice as long as you don't need to connect anything to a USB port. Therefore, I recommend the UN40KU6300FXZA because I have item I connect as previously mentioned. ONE must plan for the TV to last a long time My current Samsung is " 8 " years old and it is in perfect condition and delivers 16 hours a day a spectacular picture.

Great TV especially for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only downside to this tv to keep it from a 5 star is that it is difficult to figure out how to reprogram to add local stations for the live tv option. Otherwise picture is beautiful and clear as can be.

It's ok for budget 4K
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just to clarify there is no budget 4K that's really going to just wow you out of your seat. Yeah it looks slightly clearer/more crisp. But you really can't take advantage of Native 4K, unless you get a set that is above at least 55 inches. The picture doesn't stretch hardly at all on a small TV like this one. But yes it will look nice. And the upscaling is pretty good as well. Most movies you may see a slight difference, if it's a UHD (Disc) or an actual 4K program. Not upscaled. Upscaling can "improve" the picture somewhat, but it won't be anything a good 1080p can't do. Also there is one above this for just a little more money. The 6300 for 399$. It's slightly better as I've seen my cousins, who is an avid gamer. And for gamers wanting actual HDR 10, mainly from an Xbox One S or PS4 Pro, this isn't going to cut it. It actually will make the picture look worse in some cases. And darken it a lot. Even with Netflix content. So make sure you talk to a BB Home Theater expert to get the one that's right for you. I got this for my son (for college) because it's cheap, and does support 4K. And he does game a bit. But for those wanting the "real deal". you'll have to pay over the 1000$ mark to get the most incredible experience you can get. But for 99% of the population, this is a good introduction to what 4K is all about. Even though it won't be close to the "norm". until about 2020 (at least). So yes it's a good deal for ordinary, average TV watchers who want to see movies upscaled. Or DO own a UHD player. Great price, decent colors, and fairly reliable. From what i know. Though I have a 7 year old Vizio I paid 500$ for back in 2009. Which was a top tier TV back then, and obviously still is, given it's life span. And the gorgeous picture it still puts out. So when it goes I'll get something. 4K?? Maybe, maybe not. It will have to match what I have now. And the last 4K I tried. Samsungs 6300 55 Inch, just did not impress me that much. So I returned it. Because it was cheaply made, and still a budget 4K TV. And the picture wasn't all that impressive. Also because 4K content is so scarce, still. But if you need a new TV have at it. I don't need one yet, so I'm content. Enjoy!! It is a good price. Just don't expect, visual miracles.

Posted .Thank you for your review of this TV. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with picture quality.
The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.

TV has some weaknesses
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this TV for a week before noticing it's big weakness. The NES Classic Mini exposed how the TV is below average when it comes to motion blur. It was the worst case of motion blur/ghosting I had ever seen. I tried The NES Classic on 5 other TVs. They all handled motion blur much better. I did not notice the motion blur when playing PS4. It seemed like it had no more or less motion blur than other LED/LCD TVs.
