Bought it for the bedroom, the 40 inch was the perfect size for the bedroom. It has a great picture, colors are bold, and bright, love the timer on the tv that I can set so if I fall asleep the tv will cut itself off. I picked this not only because of the size and the demo at the Best Buy store but the Samsung reputation carried a lot of wait as well.
