Great 4k TV for price and limited room size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this TV and was very happy with how easy the setup and connection was with my PS4, VCR, and cable box. The menus are easy to go through once you get used to it. I won't use it much but being able to get free internet TV channels might is cool and might appeal to some people for a quick watch. My only minor complaint is Samsung doesn't seem to use Bluetooth in most of it's models.

Missing analog sound output
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice picture and sound but if you have a older sound bar or stereo system the TV does not have RCA sound output channels. only optical and HDMI. And no bluetooth for wireless speakers. Its a great price but you will have to spend extra and upgrade your sound system if you want home theater sound.

Easy to setup and a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on sale. Not sure if older model or not but for 40 inch for our bedroom, it meets our needs. Wife said it was easy to setup and now she can watch her Netflix shows and I can watch NBA basketball playoffs.

Having a lot of issues with this one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was long overdue for a new TV. I had been using an LG LCD TV I bought almost 8 years ago when I decided to upgrade to this Samsung 40" LED TV. In terms of size, brand, and type I thought I was upgrading in every way possible, but so far this TV has actually been inferior to my previous model for many reasons. 1) I stream old horror movies and vintage anime from my PC. I have my TV hooked up to said TV with the stuff playing locally on my TV while a video capturing app streams it to my channel. With my old TV I could switch inputs, mute the TV, or turn it off completely with no interruptions. With this TV, if I turn it off while it's on my PC input, the TV tells the computer that the TV has been disconnected, which messes up my display setup and my stream. 2) There's no audio output except digital/optic. I got a set of speakers for my birthday thinking they'd be a great complement to my new TV. Wrong. The TV has no RCA or 3.5mm out, only digital/optic audio out. Thus, I have to purchase a digital to RCA converter to even hook up my new speakers to the TV. 3) The color temperature is way too cool and can't be adjusted properly. Even on the warmest setting, the color temperature is still significantly cooler than my desktop and laptop monitor. This was easily noticeable when I'm streaming video and can see the video across all three monitors. The desktop and laptop displays give a color temperature that feels natural and right, while the Samsung TV is incredibly cool, even when on the warmest setting. Worse yet some picture options are disabled on the PC input for some reason and you can't adjust things like Tint or Color. 4) As far as I know, there's no way to use the TV without the remote. So if the batteries die or I lose the remote, I guess I'm out of luck. I had high hopes for this TV that quickly lead to disappointment after every new problem I'd start to experience with it in only a few days of owning it. Stupidly, I already threw out the box so I hope I'll still be able to return it and exchange it for a TV that better suits my needs, because this one is not it.

Samsung TV after 4 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4 years later all pixels on the left of the screen are not visible. Left LED edge lighting is not functioning. Television is going to the recycle bin. This condition has been slowly happening for the last year.

Bad User Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My big problem with this TV is that it shows you what is basically advertising for movie rentals on the home screen. And there is nothing you can do about it. It is not possible to customize the home screen beyond adding a small row of your app icons to the bottom. Above that row of your apps runs a much larger row of icons for rental movies that Samsung wants to promote to you and above that the last channel watched or else some random channel. Come on Samsung, my home screen should be a place where I put my preferred content, not where you promote your preferred content to me!

Couldn’t Stay Connected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv to take advantage of the smart apps; beautiful picture, but wouldn’t stay connected to the internet. Would kick me off every 10-15 minutes. Called Samsung support; they were no help at all said it was to far from the WiFi (mind you the the modem is directly behind the tv in the next room) and told me to buy a extender from my provider; called my provider; and they explained the bandwidth shouldn’t be a problem for our small house and especially considering the placement of the tv. Our old Vizio worked fine in the same place so I knew it wasn’t a wifi issue; I returned the TV and got a Toshiba and haven’t had one problem.

Not the quality I was expecting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV based on the reviews as well as the sale price. However, I am VERY UNHAPPY with it. Set up was OK but I had to do it with the remote since the SmartThings app would not work. The sound of the TV is ok. The problem is the HORRIBLE picture. I see a lot of people are very happy with the picture so I don't know why mine is so bad. It is blurry and everything looks like I'm watching a soap opera. I checked the manual and they suggested a fix that was not then available through the TV! I tried a "chat" session with Samsung support and that was nothing more than a waste of time. If I would not have to pay a restocking fee, I would return it.

Trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was enjoying this until i realized that it cannot take a punch. The television is very nice although if you punch it then it will not work, it is a very scrawny television and it got rocked by my cousin. I also do not suggest that you play VR near the tv because like i said before it can NOT take a punch
