One stop store for electronic s..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've purchased my TV'S and my C.omputer's at Best Buy. I truly wouldn't shop any where else. Take the advice of a very picky shopper, and try them out..

Great 4K TV With HDR for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't really in the market to buy a new tv but, my 3 year old Sony Bravia bit the dust. I was looking for another bravia and it costs about $100 more than this one. I'm glad it was on sale and my local best buy has one in stock. Picture looks great! You need to fiddle with it a little bit, you have to activate which input uses the 4K resolution first. Since I use it for my PS4, I turned on Game Mode for low latency. The Motion Rate of 120Hz is fine but I still find it odd for movies. It makes them look like daytime soap operas. Sound is quite loud for this tv. I was initially disappointed that I couldn't connect my older speaker system that uses 3.5mm jack. It does have a digital out though. Although I wouldn't need an external speaker since this one has a nice sound and ample bass. Perfect for gaming and movies!

4k plus UHD is a smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great buy at Best Buy at least $50 less than other stores and they even delivered the TV in 1 & 1/2 days to my door steps in a rural area too ... only took less than an hour to set up with the base being the hard part, but it is a good strong single base not a wimpy two leg one. Amazed with the color and clearness of the 40" screen ... really happy with the first use being a Thursday night NFL football game so clear and bright. Still learning how to use the Smart TV part and surf the web ... only youtube so far. Still can't figure out how to use a USB mouse and KB ... five Stars for sure

Great until it died just over a year old.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was great for the money. Great Picture and sound. Then 3 months after the 1 yr warranty ended it died. We checked the fuse, but not luck. I am taking it to a TV repair place to see how expensive it is to fix. I'll try to remember to update.

Great value TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HDR is iffy at best, and every so often the TV loses it's settings and get prompted to connect to internet and have to manually close the box from remote, which is annoying.

Beware if you love Acorn.TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Samsung Series 6 TV offers a great picture and decent sound, but it is incompatible with Acorn.tv, which is my favorite streaming service. While it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for many, it would have been for me. If I had known then what I know now, I would have chosen another brand. After trying all the “suggestions” from Samsung and Acorn, I talked with a human being at Samsung, and she said that many “newer” Samsung TVs don’t work with Acorn.tv. As I have looked through the Samsung Apps on offer, I don’t think the selection is very deep—just the “most popular” streaming services seem to be available. Now, to watch my favorite content on my new tv, I must buy a Fire Stick, Apple TV, or some other additional device. Wish I had not bought a [not-so] Smart TV, but then, few “stupid” TVs seem to be available.

Where have you been all my life?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband finally let me get rid of our 1990 big box TV. (130bs) We were searching for something, stopped in Best Buy, an associate pointed us towards this. I'm so glad she did! I know somewhat of technology but this thing is amazing. You have internet access, Netflix, amazon prime, etc. This is a must have TV. The picture is so clear that it feels like you can touch the characters on the screen. This TV does work better with a sound bar, in my opinion. Will buy another in the future for the bedroom.

Be careful buying this TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have spent two days trying to set this TV up and after 3 calls to Samsung support, they have confirmed that the remote they supply will never be able to change the channel on this TV. You will always have to keep this remote to see the network functions etc and the one for your cable box to change channel . The Samsung BA59 remote they supply despite having channel buttons will never change a channel if you have a cable box.

WiFi breaks at least once a week due to bug
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV itself is nice, great picture, fine sound for what you would expect out of a TV rather than an external sound system. My main problem with it, is at least once a week the Wi-Fi stops working. You need to go in to settings and reset the wireless adapter and set it up from scratch again. I am an IT professional with wi-fi enabled devices throughout my home and all of them work fine. It is definitely the TV that is the problem and not the network. There are many complaints about this on Samsungs website, they seemingly refuse to admit that this is a bug and the product should probably be recalled. Customer support just follows scripts essentially and is of no use since it's a deeper problem that Samsung's engineers needs to fix either with a firmware update or with a new hardware wireless interface built in to the TV. You had might as well just save your money and buy a "dumb" TV and buy a a Roku, Apple TV or Amazon Fire stick since the smart features are frustrating to use at best. For someone who is not technically savvy enought to know how to reset the networking and set it up again would be completely useless. When the wireless networking actually works it's good but who really wants to set up their TV again on a weekly basis? Especially if you have young kids who are smart enough to work a smart TV but will nag you to fix it every time it breaks. Personally I bought this exclusively for the built in smart-TV features and in am extremely disappointed. I will be returning this and buying a different brand since this issue seems to plague various Samsung Smart TV models based on the complaints on Samsung's website.

one issue, otherwise fine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set is great, picture fine, but there is one issue: I set up the set, and I stream only. It keeps asking me to set the input as an antenna, or cable/satellite. Gets annoying. I use streaming services only, yet I cannot seem to set the "default" to HDMI 1 (my Apple TV,) It keeps going back to "live tv". If anyone can help, I will push to 5 stars.

Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is clear and sharp. Upscales 1080 content perfectly. After disabling most of the artificial enhancements in the setting and adjusting the picture, I'm quite happy with the result.

Great tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is awesome , looks and sounds great. I would’ve given it 5 stars but it did not come with the screws to attach the wall mount to the back of the tv. I had to goto a local hardware store and pick some up . Screw specifications are in the manual . Other than that great TV

Beware of Open Box Deals
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a Geek Squad checked out TV. Drove 3 towns away to pick it up. What a lemon. Remote only halfway paired with the TV. The TV would turn off if the volume was changed. It would turn off when programing the internet. It would turn off and on when watching a television program. So brought it back and Best Buy would not exchange. I had to return and then buy a new one. I got to the department in time to see the last one be picked out. So have to wait almost two weeks for one. The amazing amount of time I spent on this TV could have been better spent working and making the additional money plus more.

TV not as described
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You cannot pair your phone to this TV. Smart View otherwise known as Smart Casting or simply casting is NOT available on this model - despite what the Samsung, Best Buy and other websites say. I just called Samsung's technical support about it. Initially - they told me the same thing - that Smart View was available - but then they remote connected to my TV and realize all the information they have on file is incorrect. Even the e-guide or e-manual loaded on this TV is incorrect / appears to be for a different, better model. Very frustrating. Smart View / Casting was one of the primary reasons I chose this model. I will now have to waste time returning this TV and driving to an actual brick and mortar store to confirm that the features we want are actually available on that specific model. And this was supposed to be a birthday for a family member. ARGH! I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because with some tweaking - primarily turning off that eco-setting - the picture is pretty good. The sound quality is only 'ok' though - I have a JVC that is currently sitting right next to it (I unboxed the new TV to check it out before gifting and I am so very glad I did) and the JVC sounds better (in terms of base, clarity, etc) and the JVC is about 11 years old.

The TV is fine .
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The web site isn't the greatest. The billing is mass confusion. The billing happens immediately and gets gets duplicated. I'm not going to buy online from Best Buy again, Very disappointed. Over the years I have used Amazon many times never a problem. The Geek Squad people were in a major rush spent minimal time explaining information, I signed off to complete so they could get on their way. I bought a Samsung TV about four years ago and installed it myself no problem. Best Buy $100. charge was a waste of money to plug it in.I should have gone with the free delivery would have been the best way to go I won't get burned again. Very disappointed! .

Great TV, Poor Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV works great, great picture, etc. However, I ordered it online as an "open box" with the Geek Squad guarantee that it was complete and in like-new condition. When it arrived, I checked and everything looked fine, except that it was missing the hardware (8 M4x14 cap screws) to assemble the stand. I called Best Buy and they said I had to call Samsung. When I called Samsung, the agent created a service ticket and said the hardware would be mailed to me within 10 business days. A week later I got a call from Samsung saying they had rejected my ticket since they could not verify the warranty. I gave up and went to the hardware store and bought the cap screws myself, rather than wait another 10 business days. It's a great TV but I was disappointed with the run-around which should have been unnecessary if the Geek Squad had done a proper inspection or Samsung had just sent me the cap screws like they said they would. Equipment great, customer service not so much.
