I am extremely happy with this TV! I purchased it to replace an LG I recently purchased that I wasn't happy with. The picture quality is excellent and the sound is about what you expect now a days for this type of TV.I'm using it with an antenna and and some streaming services and couldn"t be happier. If there is anything I might add it would be a soundbar to bring out the voices. Thank you Samsung!!

I bought this TV to replace a 13 year old Samsung. I liked the quality of my old one and thought I would replace it with another. I looked at other brands and higher levels of TVs and decided on this one. It got good ratings and so far it has not disappointed me. It is an excellent choice for someone who wants a TV for shows and movies. I can’t remark on how it well it works with video games.

This 43 inch Samsung TV was wonderful and I have no issues with the picture, sound or performance overall.
Unfortunately the lighting element suddenly went dark after owning it for a year and 9 month just suddenly for no apparent reason.
Since I am a TotalTech member this TV was covered (2 year coverage) and I was able to get a replacement after the repair tech checked the TV out at my home.

Upgraded from an old 720p TV and the difference is amazing. The 4K quality is super clear, the 43" size is perfect for a "spare" TV in a smaller location compared to on a large wall. Also love the smart features, including easy connection to our AppleTV+, Amazon Prime and other streaming services. Easy to set up and simple to use.

We bought two of these TVs during the holidays and the setup on one TV went smooth without a hitch we were able to connect it to our cable and it was able to identify it and sync with their cable boxes without issue. The second one didn't and so we still have to use two remote controls which is not a big deal but it's just weird to me that two TVs in the same household on the same Wi-Fi network cannot be set up properly even though the setups happen back-to-back but I digress. The real issue I'm having is that there are so many times that I go to turn on my television and it's automatically connected to my cable box and there is sound but no picture and so therefore I have to unplug my cable box or sometimes it works by me just turning the TV on and off again but for a television that I've had for less than 3 months This is a stupid problem to have and I shouldn't have to keep unplugging the HDMI cord or unplug my cable box to resolve this. And it's not user friendly and it lags randomly when it comes through switching through apps. And currently the TV that initially worked well with the setup with the cable has now identified my provider as Cox even though I have files I live in Maryland we don't get Cox where I live. And that's only because I had to unplug my cable box because there was no picture and now it doesn't register it as files but since it works normally I'm going to leave well enough alone.

Hi Sara,
Thank you for letting us know about the issue you are experiencing with the Samsung TU7000 TV.
If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:
1. Press the Home button on the remote.
If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal.
If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.
Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).
2. Confirm that the TV is set to the same source as the external device.
For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.
If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced.
After reconnecting the external device, please turn it off and back on.
3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
4. Test different external devices.
The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port.
If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.
