I had to get a new TV stand so it took me a while to get around to shopping for one. The item was listed as being open box and excellent condition After I got the TV out of the box... THERE WAS NO POWER CORD, NO INSTRUCTIONS, AND THE TV ITSELF HAD ADHESIVE STUCK ALL OVER THE EDGES. This was far from excellent condition. Actually I thought it was quite trashy looking. This is the last time I will use Best buy. I'll probably buy all my electronics from Amazon. In the end, this is a replacement for another Samsung television. We ended up using the power cord from the old television and luckily it fits a new television. Hopefully I will not have any issues. Much to my disappointment,

There are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences. Change the Sound Mode by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.
You can customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings.

We appreciate your review and feedback on the Samsung AU8000 TV's volume. There are several volume features you can adjust, which should improve your experience.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.
Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.
