It makes changing channels too involved, the mute button is not easy to use. I don't like how the TV has a string of boxes that you have to go through to get to what you want.

Thank you for purchasing the 43" AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for sharing your review. I’m sorry to hear that your out-of-box experience has initially fallen short of your expectations. Please know we are here to help.
Many of the buttons on your remote have multiple functions. For example, the Volume button is moved UP/DOWN to adjust volume, and to MUTE the sound, you need to PRESS it in. If that same button is pressed for > than 1 second, the Accessibility Shortcuts appears. Pressing the RETURN button (looks like a curved, backwards facing arrow) returns you to the previous menu, pressing it while watching a program will take you back to the previous channel.
To assist you with learning the features and functionality of the remote or TV interface, you can download the AU8000 TV's User Manual, e-Manual, Remote Control Leaflet, and Quick Setup Guide on Samsung's website by clicking "Support" > "Manuals & Software" > "TVs & Home Theater" > "TVs". From there, you can select the AU8000 TV under "Crystal UHD TVs” > “A Model Lineup" and download the guides you would like. The e-Manual is also embedded into the TV itself under Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

He pointed out items about the television that he thought were good and those that didn't set well from his perspective. Our use of the television is probably different than his. Under would you recommend this item depends upon a lot of personal variables. Another choice in addition to yes or no should be available.
