Never took item from box. I bought this tv because I have several samsung tv's and a 65" Crystal smart TV that I like. This 43" comes with a smart only remote. The other one has a remote with numbers, so no scrolling needed to tune to a specific channel. I watch OTA mostly and need that capability. When I opened the box I found the smart only remote. I expected the same remote as the 65" Crystal I have. Returned this one.

      Hi RonB,

We appreciate your loyalty to the Samsung brand and for your feedback on the DU7200 remote. Samsung remotes are designed to be convenient and useful, but we understand if you’d prefer to use a third-party remote, whether it’s a universal remote, a game controller, or something else! Whether you are replacing a lost remote or using an alternative remote to help reduce clutter, a third-party remote is a great option to use to control your Samsung TV.

If you ever have questions or need help, Samsung is here for you! Give us a call at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Thanks for being a part of the Samsung family!

      Hi Skoog,

We’re sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the picture quality on your Samsung DU7200 TV. If the image appears too dark, we suggest disabling certain energy-saving features, which can automatically adjust brightness and affect how the screen looks.

Go to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving, then turn off Brightness Optimization, Energy Saving Solution, Motion Lighting, and/or Contrast Enhancer.

You can also adjust the Picture Mode to better suit your environment: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
      • Standard – Default mode for general viewing
      • Dynamic – Brighter and clearer, ideal for well-lit rooms
      • Movie – Best for dark room viewing
      • Eco – Energy-saving mode
      • Filmmaker Mode – Preserves content as intended by creators

To fine-tune brightness, go to: Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings, then adjust the Brightness level (0–50) to your preference.

Lastly, please make sure your TV is running the latest firmware: Home > Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

We hope these tips help improve your viewing experience. If you need further support, feel free to contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat is also available via the ‘Support’ link on our website.

This review is about my recent purchase only. I have had 5 Samsung tv's and all excellent quality and reasonably priced. I bought this TV for one dedicated purpose. It's in bedroom and I turn it on when I go to bed and set sleep timer for an hour. I put it on prime video for 2 reasons, I can have the closed captioning larger (important to me) and no ads. Here is the problem. This TV don't like prime video. It grays out and will do nothing until I disconnect power and restart. Dont happen every time but 3 to 4 times a week. Since this is the only purpose for this TV I am not happy about it. Again I do not think Samsung quality has slipped but I think quality control might have been on a break when this one went down the assembly line.

      Hi JackW,

I'm very sorry you are experiencing issues with the Prime app consistently crashing on your DU7200 TV. Please know we are here to help and have a few suggestions.

First, you can try cold booting your TV by holding down the power button on your remote for 5+ sec until the TV turns off and on again, deleting and downloading the apps again, and completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the issue.

Please also make sure your TV is running the latest firmware version. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

Next, you may want to delete the Prime app and reinstall it.

I hope these tips help improve your streaming experience. If you need further help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

This is an okay TV. I’ve had recent issues with Hulu and Sling loading. With Hulu, I’d get an error message on a white screen three times so far. I thought it was an internet connection, turns out it’s not. With the help of my internet service provider, they helped me troubleshoot the problem. This morning, Sling wouldnt load. Same error message, just like with Hulu. Unplugging the TV is the only way to correct the problem. It’s annoying. If the problem persists, I’d need to call Samsung directly. Thinking of getting a new bedroom TV and ditching this one. Would not recommend to anyone.

      Hi Jill,

Thank you for reaching out. If apps are not working correctly, we recommend first checking for firmware updates on your TV. Go to Home > Settings > Support > Software Update. If you do have the latest firmware, then you can next try a cold boot. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.
