Mediocre Low-End Samsung TV

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is not a terrible TV, but there is nothing special about it to justify the UHD and HDR labels. Peak brightness is quite low for a Samsung TV, you can't watch this TV in a room with windows on a sunny day. The color gamut is limited, producing a sometimes bland picture. Color contrast is decent, but the blacks are just grey, making night scenes often look muddy. The internal wifi processor for the "smart" features is low-end and relatively slow, you will need to add a Roku or Apple TV device. Dialogue from the built-in speakers is generally clear, but with zero bass, which is suprisingly given how chunky this TV is. Design is all plastic and looks cheap, Samsung made no effort on design. Does not do a great job of upscaling content into 4K. If you've never seen a 4K TV before this will do just fine, but there are much, much better TVs available for only a little more money. Take your time and look around.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv through a pre-black Friday deal and it felt like highway robery. the quality of the panel is A+ and the smart TV functionality is such a luxury, as I can stream games from my PC to the TV without any dongles. YouTube casting also works natively without any dongles too.

Very affordable with decent features

Because it happened to be on sale, that was definitely the Samsung NU6900 Series tv for me.
